• Comfortable Unit

  I have stayed in many units in the Fairways complex and many units in Mauna Lani and beyond. This is the first time ever that I've needed to contact owner for check-in information with only 2.5 days till arrival. Communication could be much better. The unit is spacious, and the beds are comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked. The location of unit is close enough to the road and we could hear vehicles driving by at all hours. The unit was filled with dozens of artificial plants and numerous knicknacks. I personally prefer less clutter.I needed to wipe out washing machine because it was full of mold from door being closed on front loading machine. My biggest criticism is the beach equipment is worn out and disappointing since it was a beach vacation for us. The chairs were missing head rests and the backpack straps broken and the handle barely usable. 2 umbrellas one totally broken, the other barely functioning. The boogie boards missing strap and other one totally pealing on the bottom. I have stayed in numerous units and this was by far the most worn out equipment I've encountered. The price to stay here definitely warrants decent beach equipment.Finally my husband was taking a picture of the wild turkeys in the grass across from unit and a neighbor scolded him. He explained to her what he was doing and I spoke to her as well. She did back off and became friendly, but her behavior was unnessary as we are a quiet retired couple in our 60s and don't require monitoring.

  Good afternoon Louis and Randi, Thank you for your review. Many apologies we usually send out codes for entry about a week in advance, but suffered a tremendous family emergency. We do reach out and did that if there was anything we could do to ensure your vacation was more enjoyable to call us at any hour. We also provided our On Island Managers contact information, so find it very dismaying that you endured such lackluster conditions that could have been corrected, minus any noise, due to living in a resort area. We do replace our beach equipment yearly and have recently done so. Thanks for the feedback on plants and our personal items, we will take it in to consideration. As far as a neighbor once again great wishes that you had contacted us or our manager. Hawaii has a very strict Good Neighbor Permit policy for short term rentals. Air B&B and VRBO are greatly aware of Hawaii government trying to eliminate short term vacation rentals and so any issues need to be handled professionally and quickly by all owners. • Perfect Stay

  The home was exactly as presented. Had everything we needed. Bedrooms were comfortable. The upstairs suite is grand. Ample communal space to spend together for meals and visiting. Well stocked with beach supplies. The location was perfect, the Fairmont Orchid conference center is an easy 10-minute walk. The grounds and pool were very nice. The owners communicated with clear instructions and messaged to be sure we got settled and had what we needed. Great stay!

• Great spot to stay on the island

  My son and I stayed here for a quick golf trip, and the place was great for the two of us and would be great if we had our better halves as well. The location was perfect for our golf trip, and the Mauna Lani North and South courses were first class. Our hosts were very friendly, helpful, and accommodating! Highly recommend

• Nice, cozy and quiet

  Enjoyed the easy check-in with digital locks - no stopping for keys. The condo was very clean and well-stocked. We enjoyed morning coffee on the tropical setting lanai. But I recall the deciding factor for our choice here was the beach access. And it indeed is a beautiful setting. We had dinner one night at the restaurant at the beach, and we all agreed it was the best dinner of our trip. The location was a good anchor spot for visiting all points of the island, but we wished we had been a little closer to Kailua-Kona. Overall, a great experience
