4/5 Condo unit was great & location couldn’t be better. Could have done without the grumpy check in clerk. Also didn’t appreciate being lectured on locking the door. Locking system was obviously not working correctly and I was at fault?

Great Location
4/5 The one room efficiency is a little rundown But the location and price make easy to over look.
Cozy, Convenient
5/5 Very sweet little space, and within very close walking distance to all the best shopping, restaurants, and even the beach. Very comfortable. The bathroom was tiny, but they have made it work. I loved the vibe of this space. The smell of all of the mature, blossoming plumeria trees was just magical. Our room looked out over the pretty swimming pool space. This place was sweet and affordable, and perfect for our needs.

Everything you need and nothing more
4/5 Staying in #231 at the Islander Inn was great for us and our week on the Big Island. It's probably not a fit if you're looking for luxury, but the unit was just fine with everything we needed, the location can't be beat, the pool is nice, and the price is right.
Pros:
-While it is small, the studio has just about everything you need for a nice stay: Kitchen is well equipped, the closet had all sorts of things, including beach chairs and an umbrella, there was a large TV, comfy couch, etc.
-Lanai/deck is very nice and the pool is great for sunning/swimming, and is convenient to the unit
-Bed was comfortable and it was very quiet - we slept well.
-Amazing location - so close to everything in Kailua Kona, we walked places a lot! Beaches and other activities were a short drive away.
Cons:
-Saw one cockroach (ew!)
-No dishwasher - we did a lot of dishes since we were eating meals in the unit pretty frequently
-No elevator
