  Great place to stay! Walking distance to the beach, restaurants, shopping, coffeehouses, and so much more! The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. We enjoyed the pool and outdoor grilling area every day as well. Excellent communication from the host and check in and check out was a breeze. The condo is well equipped with everything you could possible need. We definitely will be staying here again on our next trip back to the island!

• great lanai

  This unit is in the back of complex and parking is a bit of a walk, a short walk to Kona. The pool is very enjoyable and nice and cool. I would stay here again. No ac in the bedroom but It wasn't too bad as it cools down at night. I did encounter some ants but they were so small it was hardly noticeable.

  - The assigned parking spot is set by the complex, but we hope you found the garden route we mentioned in the welcome document to make the walk more pleasant.
  
  - We appreciate you bringing the ants to our attention—we had the unit treated immediately to prevent any future issues.
  
  - At this point, we do not have AC in the bedroom, but we do provide a ceiling fan, and a fan on the nightstand, and have just purchased two larger portable fans to help keep guests cool.

• Close to Kailua-Kona pier

  Love this property and location. It is centrally located to downtown Kailua-Kona. Walking distance to swim at the pier and shop downtown. Daily runs on Alii drive. Beautiful landscape on the property and around the pool. Quiet and safe. The only wish I had was that the bedroom had air conditioning. The living room had it. Which was helpful. Grocery store is walking distance. Great TV. We would stay here again.

  I usually don’t do negatives but I wish now someone would have been honest about this place. There are mice and cockroaches in abundance, every cupboard and drawer had mouse catchers. The unit supplies bug repellent! The unit was tidy but deep down dirty. The a/c unit was not working so we opened it up and the filter was caked solid. It had to be soaked.the lights were full of dead bugs. Kitchen cabinets were icky to touch. I washed one door down then decided I was on vacation and not wanting to clean my rental condo. Bathroom drawers are broken.

  The pool was warm but lots of flies so we didn’t stay long.

  Barbara, The homeowners were surprised to read your review, as they are accustomed to providing 5-star experiences, and would like to clarify the following:
  
  Owner's response: "Barbara, we contacted you via message before you arrived with information on how to reach us if you had any issues or problems, we did not hear from you regarding any issues.
  - The property manager was at the condo assisting you by signing into their credentials so that you could watch a game you wanted to watch. While they were there this would have been the perfect time to let someone know about your claims but you did not say anything to them either.
  - We DO NOT have an issue with pests of any kind in our condo. The traps that you found in the cabinets were not mouse traps they were insect traps. Like any tropical region, we do have the occasional bug, but we treat the condo monthly and the traps are merely a preventative measure. We have checked with the property manager and the pest control person we use and no one has seen any pests.
  - We take cleanliness very seriously and our cleaners do a great job, we have not had any complaints about the cleanliness of the condo. We ensure that the condo is cleaned and sanitized before each new guest arrives.
  - We have not had any issues with the AC but will take a look at it to ensure it is working well and there are no issues.
  - The bathroom drawer will be taken care of right away, we're sorry if this was an inconvenience.
  - We are in the tropics and do not have any control over the pool being warm and the flies, this is Hawaii. We have had numerous guests who have enjoyed chilling by the pool and have not been bugged. As you stated we do have bug repellant available that can be used for outdoor activities such as lounging by the pool if there are any bugs at that time.
  We truly go above and beyond for our guests, and we are confident that future guests will have excellent stays! We will continue to deliver the 5-star experiences we are known for.
