  I did not expected the apartment to be that huge! Everything was great - from location to all the amenities and beach stuff in the closet. Special hank you to the hosts for allowing us to checkin early. We really enjoyed our stay.

  We loved the condo! Equipped with everything we might need, including beach equipment and games, the condo also had a great view and was within walking distance of restaurants and shopping. Would definitely return!

• A lovely property with a couple snags

  The condo is beautiful with nice views and it’s in a great location. Not beachfront, but walkable. It was generally pretty well appointed, the lanai was amazing, and the bed was very comfortable. The stove was tricky to operate and put out really inconsistent heat however, and I would not recommend relying on it for your meals. I’m giving 4 stars because I had higher expectations for the property contact based on other reviews. I received an email 2 weeks before check in with a door code, but the Evolve instructions say to text for a door code. Apart from that email, I was not contacted prior to check in. That day starting at 11am, I texted and emailed both contact numbers AND emails, asking 1) if we could get an early check in and 2) to confirm the door code, since there were conflicting instructions. No response from the owner or the property contact. This was pretty stressful. I finally got ahold of Colin at 3:30 via a different phone number than was listed, and the property owner called me back at 4pm, exactly at check in time. Both said there was a “technical error” with the contact phone, and they were looking into it. I was pretty frustrated by this, as this was something that could have been communicated to me via text OR email, before I arrived at the property. If management takes several hours to respond, they should set that expectation with their guests. Other reviews spoke very highly of the owner/contact, which is one of the reasons I chose this property. It unfortunately put a damper on the experience here, and Evolve wasn’t terribly helpful in sorting this out either.

  Thank you for your feedback — we truly appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. We’re glad to hear there were no issues entering the condo with the door code provided in advance. Our local property manager did attempt to reach out the day before your arrival, though it appears he was experiencing phone issues at the time and was unaware of the problem. We completely understand your frustration regarding the early check-in request; typically, at least a day or two’s notice is needed to coordinate with our cleaning team and ensure the condo is fully prepared. As for the stove, induction cooktops can take a little getting used to — cookware does need to be properly centered for best results. We’re pleased you enjoyed the condo and its beautiful views, and we value your thoughtful input.

  Exceptional stay! Wow! The condo was immaculate, so roomy and with ever amenity you could hope for.

  The location was perfect, too, as it was walking distance to the little village in downtown Kona. Snorkel Bob's is just down the street to rent gear to snorkel at Kalau'u Beach, which is just 10 minutes away from the condo.

  The condo provided some comfy beach chairs, as well as beach umbrellas, plenty of towels, a cooler bag/backpack, boogie boards, shopping bags... you name it!

  Colin was an absolute gem to work with! He was super responsive to any questions we had, and kept in touch with us the first day just to make sure we arrived safely and got settled in okay. He was so friendly and accommodating.

  We also slept great! The beds were quite comfortable and it was fabulous to have a/c and ceiling fans throughout the whole condo, if needed.

  We've already shared this place with a few friends who regularly visit the big island. It's a must-stay! Sure hope to come back to stay again soon! Mahalo!"
