This property is amazing for so many reasons it's tough to know where to begin. From booking to departure this experience at Frank's Place was incredible. Frank and I communicated before arrival more than once. I felt like I was arriving at a friends home. What was more impressive was how well equipped his guest home was. I am not talking about how nice the standard VRBO amenities were, I am talking about the stocked food, snacks, drinks etc that Frank chose to leave for us. What a difference it made and was completely above and beyond the call of duty. It felt luxury for sure. Like Butler service at an all-inclusive. We arrived after dark and had communicated in advance so Frank knew we'd be in late. He left the doors open for us for easy entry. We were so excited to know we were in rainforest country and could not wait to see what lie beyond the home in the morning. Well, no waiting. Frank had small flashlights on each nightstand for us to be able to immediately explore. Such a nice touch. We also had access to a small cooler to take with us each day as well as beach chairs, although we did not use those. The location of the property was right on the Hana Highway but just 7 minutes to the famous Mamas Fish house in the neighboring town of Paia. We spent a good bit of time there and were so pleased with how close we were to it. A short drive along Maui's North shore where there were lookouts and beachfront to watch the surfers. We ate breakfast with the locals in Haiku at Colleens and at Baked on Maui. Both were fabulous and we were thrilled to have fresh local dining experiences and not the typical resort crap. Paia has great restaurants as well. If I am ever able to return I would not even consider staying anywhere else as we got so much more of a local experience and not the curated resort experience that is crazy expensive and doesn't support local residents or improve their community. I am so grateful to Frank for sharing his home with us and fell in love with Maui because of his kindness, generosity and beautiful spirit. Many thanks my friend!!! I meant what I said when we left. You will always be in my heart and I would love to host you if you ever come stateside. This is an easy choice folks, book it and book it now!!!

This property is the best place we’ve stayed in recent years. It is in a quiet area with a stream running next to it for a peaceful sound. The furnishings are excellent and the host has set it up with a great selection of amenities and snacks. I’ve never stayed in a place with such care and useful kitchen utensils/cookware. This is an above 5 star property.

Frank and Ludy are the best hosts we ever met!
Their place is warm & welcoming, spotlessly clean, well stocked, and absolutely beautiful.
Frank is great to talk with and a wealth of knowledge of things to do in the area. We felt like we were with family.
We enjoyed ourselves so much that we will definitely be back on our next trip to Maui.
Thank you Frank and Ludy for such a memorable visit.
My mom and I had the most special time staying at the Kahili property! We felt so welcomed with an abundance of hospitality and beauty surrounding us! Thank you for a wonderful experience! Our experience will remain in our hearts forever!
Wow! We had a wonderful time and stay at this property. We loved the location and more of the quaintness of this area in island. But I have to give a huge thank you and appreciation for the owner, Frank. He was extremely hospitable, and really paid attention to details that make a property better. He provided extra amenities like snacks, drinks, newspaper, snorkel gear, and beach chairs (just to name a few). He really made our vacation and stay easy, and got to focus on relaxing and having fun.
