  • Very noisy

    2/5

The property was so small. the cottage is actually a duplex. You can hear when the move around at night. The street noise starts at 5:30 am and goes to 10:30 pm. There is I a 60” TV in the small living/dining/ kitchen area. The bathroom is very outdated

    Manager's Response:

Hi Bob, the right vacation home is everything, and we're disappointed if this wasn't the one for you. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:

    - The cottage is part of a duplex, and there is soundproofing in place between units, though we’ll look into additional options to improve noise control.
    - The bathroom fixtures are original and have been preserved intentionally, as many guests have appreciated their vintage charm and historical value.
    - The home was built in 1897, and we have worked to balance modern comfort with historic character. This includes brand-new appliances, refinished original heart pine floors, and restored 11-foot ceilings.
    - While the living space is compact, the home includes updated HVAC systems and a large 60” TV to maximize comfort and entertainment.

Thanks for your valuable feedback as we continue to improve for future guests!

  • Cozy and cute cottage

We fell in love with this charming cottage. The appliances are all modern and the decor is chic. The neighborhood is very quiet after business hours. The bed was super comfortable. Ginny replied very promptly to text messages. We had a great stay.

  • Perfect Retreat way better than Hotel

    5/5

This newly remodeled historic home has everything you need for a quiet peaceful relaxing stay. And it was clean. Sheets / bed very clean. Reading reviews for local area hotels they all mentioned bugs, and questionable sanitation. Excellent choice to stay here! The management was very responsive to any questions. Felt safe staying alone too. The amenities are just right for a single bedroom. The kitchen / living room are spacious with all appliances needed for a good stay. Stocked with some helpful items like Salt / Pepper, so you didn't have to buy a bunch of little stuff. I had planned to go out to eat each night, but it so well equipped it was simplest to stay there. New appliances and laundry facilities make it great for a multi-week stay for a business person. Heating works well (it was in the 30's cold spell). Location is great. Only downside is a little bit of noise from the street in the early a.m. during rush hour. But nothing like the hotel neighbors with the loud TV, or doors slamming, or the soccer club that checked in late.
