2/5 Our Group recently stayed at the Luxe Georgia Farm Retreat. While the amenities and surroundings were beautiful, the house had severe issues that ruined our stay.
Issues:
Unairconditioned Main Floor: Bottom floor unairconditioned.
Mold and Filth: AC units on top floor covered in mold and filth.
Roaches: Roaches in the dining room, above the kitchen wall.
Poor Cleanliness: Pubic hairs on the toilet, poor cleaning.
Filthy Air Filters and Screens: Air fans, filters, and screens caked in dirt and cobwebs.
Leaking Sink: Leaking sink in half bathroom damaged cash, jewelry, and electronics.
Security Issues: Back main door unclosable and unlockable.
Bullet Hole: Bullet hole in the front window.
Moldy Dishes: Mold on dishes in the kitchen sink.
Filthy Couch: Bodily fluids and filth on the couch.
Leaking Roof: Living room leaked from the roof, making the area unusable.
Customer Service Issues:
Despite multiple attempts to contact the property owner through Expedia's built-in messaging system, no response.
Communication with Expedia was frustrating and unproductive. We reported issues on July 6 and 7, 2024, but received inadequate assistance.
Conclusion:
While the amenities and the natural surroundings are beautiful, the severe issues with the house and poor customer service made our stay extremely disappointing and unhealthy. Until these issues are addressed, I cannot recommend staying here.
