Spacious
4/5 We had a nice stay. There is plenty of room for 8 of us and beds are comfortable. The river was good to fish in, although you are only allowed to go in the part right by the house. The rest is off limits. The hot tub was clean and enjoyed. Being able to have a fire was nice. The kitchen is very well stocked- even containers for leftovers. The decks were our favorite spot for sipping coffee and watching the river. Plenty of seating and nice on cool days. The outside bed was a hit to relax on. There are games and books and even a ping pong net and paddles for the kids to play.
Some things to be aware of : There is no dishwasher and the sinks are small to be washing dishes in. The upstairs fridge is needed as they are both small. The oven/stovetop is very old and cooks hot - there is a note telling you this. We were told the grill was clean and in good working order, but it was not all at and there was no propane. I was told the grill is being replaced. The showers are very small, however there are also tubs if needed. Having 4 bathrooms was great! We were surprised that the house is right on the road. There is a bridge over the river right next to the house and it is a very busy road.
Overall we had a great long weekend and enjoying the river and time away!
