  My husband and I rented this out with our friends for a long wedding weekend. We got married on my family farm in Hartwell and needed a fun place to host out of town friends for the weekend. The place was great for our size group and we used every bed! Master suite was the perfect place for a bridal suite to get ready in.

• Welcoming the New Year!

  In total, we were a group of 20. Overall, the facility was very accommodating and clean. The kitchen was very well equipped to cook for our large party. The rooms were very spacious, and all bed sheets were nice and clean. The only challenge we experienced was with the hot water. The water heater was broken. Erick who helps to maintain the property was extremely professional and worked to address the concern. Given the cold weather, this was a challenge for the group. While at the property, we rented a pontoon boat from the Hartwell Marina. We recommend guest to do this. Overall, we had a memorable time ringing in the new year.

• House needs a lot of work

  The house could be amazing but needs a lot of work. The inside needs a new paint job. All the carpets needs to be professionally cleaned. They need a professional cleaning crew to come in after each renter in order to make the house ready for the next renters. We found dead bugs all over the place and a cockroach in one of the toilets. If you are going to say there is a dock to use then get the boat out of the slip so renters can use it. Especially since the boat hasn’t been used in over 2 years.

  - Our home undergoes routine professional cleanings and inspections after each guest stay. We take great pride in the work of our cleaners, and our cleaning manager performs thorough checks to ensure the property is ready for new guests.
  - We have a routine pest control service in place, which may result in the occasional presence of dead bugs. This is a normal part of the process, but we ensure that any such findings are promptly addressed before each guest's arrival.
  - While there are minor marks in the hallway from regular use, we've never had complaints about the condition of the walls. We’ll continue to monitor this and refresh the paint as needed to keep the home in top shape.
  - The boat in the slip is privately owned and stored there year-round, but we will clarify this in our listing to avoid any confusion. The dock itself remains available for guest use.
  
  The homeowner shared a text message with Evolve that your early departure was due to bad weather and not the cleanliness of the property, which can understandably affect a stay. • Family and friend reunion

  The house is absolutely beautiful! Very spacious and matches the pictures. The dock was really enjoyable and even included a large foam mat for chilling at the lake. Our only problems surrounded the wifi, which wasn't working well the whole time. We immediately messaged the host when the wifi wasn’t working. While the host was responsive and friendly, they didn’t really offer much help. It is mentioned that the wifi was spotty on the listing, but it ended up affecting our ability to play music and watch the football games we wanted to watch. Also there were only enough trash bags for the first use and there were not trash bags to replenish so we had to run out. Overall, our group had a great time at the house and would book again!
