  • We love it!

    5/5

We were very pleased with our experience throughout the stay at Mayfly Cabin. The location of the cabin was great for accessing Blue Ridge, McCaysville and Copperhill. We even took a day and rode to Helen. It was about a 1 hour and 20 minute drive but definitely worth it. There is a close neighbor that sales firewood and even delivered it for us. We loved that you could access the creek from the cabin. They guys brought their waders and did some fishing. We cooked almost every day and the kitchen was stocked with everything you needed. The futon upstairs was comfortable for 2 adult guest to use. We would definitely stay here again!

  • Perfect tree house get away

    5/5

Our five night stay at the Mayfly cabin gave us the opportunity to enjoy the great outdoors and reconnect as a family. We were totally impressed with all the cabin had to offer to include the board games, juice press and fire place. It felt like we were in a real life tree house with a fire pit and creek to top it all off. Yes there are plenty of stairs 220 to be exact but totally worth the views. As city dwellers we took advantage of the close proximity to great hiking trials and parks. Just beware of the drive in on the gravel road four wheel drive is a must. I do not recommend arriving after dark on your first visit. But if you survive the trek you will have a great time.

  • Magical cabin!

    5/5

A cabin with a creek, hot tub, and fire place in blue ridge GA. This place was beyond our expectations. The whole experience from booking with evolve to the unrivaled hospitality of our hosts Curt and Carol. This could not have been a better trip or more perfect experience. The moment we pulled up to the cabin, we were in awe of the beautiful location. The cabin itself is impeccably clean, cozy and well appointed. The hosts thought of everything including little details like bathrobes, flashlights, etc. There are two bedrooms with bathrooms one on the first floor and one upstairs. Both have comfortable King beds. There is an additional futon upstairs should you need. The screened in porch is great with rocking chairs and a heater. Further down the porch there is an amazing hot tubs which we used most nights. Halfway down the stairs there is a beautiful platform with Adirondack chairs and a fire pit underneath the forest trees. If you’re up for a hike down to the bottom of the stairs, there is the most gorgeous creek you have ever seen. The creek was honestly my favorite part of the cabin. You are immersed in the natural beauty of the mountains and only a 15 min drive to downtown blue ridge. We found something different to do each day on our 6 day trip, though I would have been more than happy to spend the entire time at the cabin. Some of our favorite things to do were- the bear claw winery, aska road is very scenic and borders the toccoa River, mercier orchard, lake blue ridge, and downtown blue ridge of course with all it’s great shops and restaurants. We also did the blue ridge scenic railway tour which was a special trip. I could go on and on about how great this trip was. We will absolutely be back. We traveled the last week of October and the leaves were starting to change color so we got some great fall foliage scenery as well. Do not hesitate to book! We will always have fond memories of our mayfly cabin rental.

Loved this cabin! My husband and I got exactly what we wanted which was plenty of relaxation while listing to the rushing water of the huge beautiful creek below. The cabin was very clean, comfy and beautiful! Loved the decks that over looked the creek. Also a great location and private.I have already had friends wanting the rental info after seeing my pictures. We will definitely be renting this cabin again!Thank you Curt for being a wonderful host :)
