  To start with, it seemed to us like this was the first rental for this property and nothing was ready to have customers staying in the place. First impressions to me was “crack house” turned into rental.

  Fit and finish of the place seemed less than half complete. No real kitchen utensils or only a few serving plates for eating. No cable. No internet. I think it was just not connected yet.

  Outside temperatures at night were below freezing and two of three bedrooms had no heat source or very minimal at best. Master bathtub/shower completely clogged up and did not drain until I poured Liquid Draino down the drain; which helped a bit.

  This was a VRBO transaction that turned into one from Evolve. Evolve charged a large cleaning fee as well as damage waivers that totaled more than our three night rental and we did not know this until it was itemized on the sales invoice. This house appeared to us as never been cleaned before our stay and probably not going to get much of a cleaning afterwards either.

  Only positive point was the secondary contact, Kevin, was great and did help us by providing supplies that should have been at the property before we arrived. The primary contact was also nonexistent.

  Watch out for 3rd party rentals from VRBO as they both will charge you fees and provide little admin services.
