The pictures on Vrbo must have been old, because they looked a lot better than the actual property appearance. The home was clean, but the problem was all of the deferred maintenance. I will not be renting the house again. The entrance was dangerously dark when we arrived at night. There was no lighting on the walkway, steps, & porch. The entry door light was useless. This issue was also mentioned by a previous renter, to which the Vrbo host replied, “We'll make sure these details are better addressed for future stays.” NOT!The curb appeal was not there. The front of the house looked terrible, after removing vines, they left half the paint missing. Some window sills and eaves were rotted out.The backyard was a mess, and completely out of control, and over grown, no one would want to spend time back there. I love trees, but the trees were not maintained. There were many branches resting on or hanging over the roof, which is an invitation to rodents. I could hear some animal on or in the chimney. Yard waste trashcan was full of water and yard waste and way too heavy to move.It is a pet friendly house & it showed on several scratched up doors.Master bath’s door knob fell off.Thermostat was hanging off the wall.Grease dripping on hallway wallsLiving room light/fan remote didn’t work. Shutter slats were broken.Towel rack in the kitchen was broken.Best parts: master shower, long dining table, washer & dryer, the living room, & old architectural house with many beds.

Ok, so i was conflicted about leaving a review but know that others would benefit from this for future booking. It was a beautiful historical home warm and welcoming. We were there for our son's turning green ceremony the week before Thanksgiving. So, i brought everything for a feast to include utensils and pots/pans just in case. However, the kitchen was fully equipped. I was going to grill someburgers but opted out last minute which turned out for the best. We had a little trouble accessing the wifi and reached out to the host which promptly responded and gave us the full password that had been erased from a small chalkboard no biggie. We did a quick scan of the home took pictures of broken decor around the home which i believe would be best if would just be removed instead being an eye sore in my opinion. However, we didn't want to get blamed for it. The bathtub in the master we were looking forward to using but every faucet was broke and the only one working was the spray which took forever to fill. The toilet in the hallway was leaking pretty good at the seal so we had to place several towels on the floor. The faucets were also leaking on the sink. Ww went outside only to find a verypoor condition grill definitely not operational. The seating out back was completely rotten again it be best to just throw it away. The parking situation was a shared drive we had a Chevy f250 and we pulled all the way in so where it split we didn't block anyone.but got blocked by the
