This house was perfect for our peaceful getaway. It was everything we needed during our stay. The porch was my favorite. I loved sitting in the swing and even saw a few deer in the yard. Would definitely come back!

The Misty Lake Cabin near Blue Ridge was perfect for our 4 night Christmas break getaway. My husband and I have two young men (ages 19 and 21), and the older one wanted to bring his girlfriend. This cabin was perfect for our growing family. My husband and I stayed in the Master Bedroom upstairs, and my son's girlfriend was in the other upstairs bedroom near the hall bathroom. The guys had the entire downstairs to themselves. The cabin allowed us to spread out and have our own space, yet at other times the upstairs main living also allowed us to spend quality time together for dinner, card playing and watching movies and football. The cabin had everything we needed including salt, pepper, cooking oil, wood for the fireplace/firepit, lighter, skewers for s'mores, fishing pole, and extra blankets. The cozy log cabin feel, wraparound porch complete with swing and rocking chairs, hot tub, lakeside view, and private lot were more than I could have asked for. The king size bed in the upstairs master was especially comfortable. The cabin is located about 10 minutes from town and several hikes. We hiked Fall Branch Falls and Blue Ridge Lake Trail. Blue Ridge was a quaint town, and I highly recommend Chesters restaurant and visiting Mercier Orchard.
I recommend arriving to this cabin during the day. (Although the cabin's host accommodated us by leaving multiple floodlights on for us and giving us detailed driving instructions.) The driveway is a little narrow and winds around the cabin. We drive a Toyota Highlander that is not a 4 wheel drive. We made it by just fine, but the incline in/out of the driveway is best suited for a four wheel drive (as recommended in the cabin description).
My husband and I went with two other couples to visit the blue ridge mountains and we were all so comfortable at this cabin. The rooms were spacious and it was nice having a bathroom for each bedroom. The beds and linens were clean and comfy. We were impressed at how well-equipped the kitchen was and cooked a few meals. We enjoyed the hot tub and the view of the little lake. We played board games in the living room and enjoyed morning coffees on the front porch. We also were thankful for the washer and dryer to dry our clothes after tubing on the Toccoa River. Getting to the cabin was pretty easy, and the host gave us a tip about the best way to navigate the driveway which was really helpful (it's a circular stone driveway and easier if you veer right when you pull in). This stay is welcoming, comfortable, and fairly priced and I'd definitely recommend it to others.
