Nice property. Everything you need for the stay. Disappointed that the cabin wasn't on the lake as pictured. 8 minutes away.

    Manager's Response:

Hi William, we truly appreciate you sharing your thoughts about your recent stay. Your feedback is essential to us, and we've relayed your comments to the homeowner, who would like to share the following:
    - We will update our listing to clearly share that the home is not located directly on the lake, however, there are three community lakes nearby for our guests to enjoy. It's also important for our guests to be aware that if they wish to use the Big Canoe community amenities they must pay additional on-site fees.
    - We hope you keep us in mind for your future travels. We’d love to host you the next time you visit. Your feedback assists us in understanding our guests' perspectives and improving wherever possible. Thank you for sharing your review!

We are working on the nearby High School, my employees like it better than Hotel rooms.

    Very nice, clean & comfortable.

Everyone had their own space & room

  • Clean house to relax in!

We had a great stay in Big Canoe (family of 6) and really liked the house. We had some issues getting in when we arrived but were able to navigate that semi-quickly. The rooms are large and beds are comfortable. The kitchen is small but has most everything you'll need to make your own meals and save on restaurant costs. The views were great and listening to the creek and falls while you drink coffee in the morning. Location was decent as long as you enjoy driving on mountain-side roads with no shoulder :) If you don't have 4-wheel drive it may be hard to get in and out of the driveway. It's really steep but has an area to turn around if needed.

Overall we loved our time there and caught plenty of trout and hiked many of the trails! Highly recommend the house and Big Canoe!
