3/5 The host did not communicate with us AT ALL. We waited for their entery instructions, did not get them, I messaged them for the instructions and did not get any. Since the "room" (converted garage) was attached to the home, my husband tried to knock on the door. Someone was there but did not answer. We finally called the VRBO number to gain access instructions. The back door (to the house, not the garage apartment) is noisy when trying to sleep. Letting their dog out next to the room was very loud. And more loud when the dog was barking and the person yelling at said dog.In the shower, a piece of the drain is sharp, nearly cutting my husband's foot so we had to be mindful of that every shower. And small bugs all over the bathroom. I am not a complainer. I'm generally a laid back person, but after the access was so much more difficult than any other rental I've ever had and could have been easily remedied with a simple text via the app, everything after that started mounting quickly.
