Wonderful home. A little dated but had everything we needed. Huge covered patio next to pool was a big plus. Only 15 minute walk to beach. Would definitely rent again.

I am giving this one star because this house was extremely clean and the location was perfect for what I needed it for.
I had originally booked another home through a different company back in October, this home was directly across the street from the Resort I would be getting married at, this detail is crucial, because I have two lovely dogs that would be joining us for the wedding and the resort rooms were unfortunately not pet friendly. In March, this booking was cancelled due to unknown reasons, that left me to quickly find another home. I went on various websites and finally settled on Booking.com through Evolve for the “Riviera Beach Home With Pool- Walk to Beach!”. It had enough rooms for myself when I stayed there as well as my cousins who were watching the dogs. The pet policy simply said “Pets allowed. Charges may apply.” There were no fine line restrictions at time of booking for breed, length of stay or anything else. A week before we are to start heading down to Florida (I live in NC), I get a message through Booking.com that explains Check in and check out policies. Within these policies it says “You cannot bring a pet if your stay is less than two weeks” and “If you would like to bring a larger pet, homeowner approval is required.” At this point I am days away from the most stressful planning I have ever done and this was just added to my list. Why not have that as a description on your listing? Why did I have to pay you in full, wait two months and then find out this intricate policy? I called Evolve and they said they would talk with the Property Owner. A few hours later, I receive a response explaining they take ownership of the way it is worded and they will allow my two pets (two corgi dogs) to stay there , however they were charging me a 2 week pet fee of $667! How fair is this? I expected to pay a 4 night fee for the time I stayed there, not a 2- week fee. Unfortunately for me, I could not cancel as I needed the location as close as possible and a place big enough, and nothing was left on Singer Island. I was trapped and taken advantage of.
Now, when we arrived the house who says they are dog friendly had zero dog amenities. I travel a lot and with my dogs and normally the bare minimum is a fenced in yard. This yard was fenced in on three sides, missing the right side of the house. Also, no dog beds, bowls, doggy bags, etc.
Speed up to my wedding day and I get a phone call from the Property Manager at 7:30am. He is asking me about a neighbor complaint on sprinklers. I have no idea as I am Getting married across the street but I did tell him I would call my family staying there to find out. Unknown to me at the time, My Aunt who was staying there had already contacted my father about the neighbors pounding on the door at 7 am, and my father called Evolve to tell them they needed to talk to the neighbors and sort the situation out as it was unacceptable. My father also explicitly said to contact him, as the person renting (me) was getting married. What happens? I get called next to figure out what was happening. Whatever the sprinkler issue was, neighbors should not have been pounding on the door of a rental property at 7 am and the Manager should not have come to us to solve their issue. Then the very next day landscapers showed up and just went into the backyard to do their thing. We were never told and what if my dogs were out there? What if we were out there in our bathing suits swimming? This was an invasion of Privacy when you do not even give a heads-up about a service coming in like this, not to mention, my dogs are well behaved but what if someone who had a different type of dog reacted negatively to strangers coming into a backyard with loud equipment?
This was the most stressful place to stay at and I have traveled all over the country and internationally. I have never used Evolve and I NEVER WILL AGAIN. If you want to stay here beware of neighbors pounding on your door and the Owner wanting you to take care of the problems and hopefully you don’t risk it with a pet, book something else.
Lovely location. Spacious accommodation. Clean and convenient. Highly recommended.
