    Was really excited to stay here for a late Spring Break with our little family but was pretty disappointed with how much work we had to put in up front in order to be comfortable. We asked for pool heat and was given a huge work around of asking for it in advance - was billed and received a receipt but upon check-in, pool heat was not even turned on. When we called to inquire, we were told they never knew about it. How can you bill someone or charge us and not know about it? We are no stranger to dog hair but it was clear that a black dog lives there or was there and our son couldnt even sit on the floor without having dog hair all over his hands and clothes. Dog hair on the comforter and pillow cases. There were no blankets except the ones on the bed that I needed to strip off and wash before using since they stunk and had dog hair all over them. The master had a heated blanket that begged the question if it was even washed since there is coils inside the blanket so we didnt even use it. Had to wash all the kitchen plates, etc before using and many items had food slop all over it and was clearly not washed. Its a nice house and pool but just did not appear to be cleaned between renters. Description said pool toys and we even messaged in advance and asked and was told there were pool toys and beach chairs and there was not. Had to go purchase pool toys for our son to use. No broom or mop to sweep up or clean the dirty floors. We paid for pool heat and that was a disaster.

We acknowledge that there was a delay in response when you requested the pool heat, resulting in it being turned on shortly before your stay. Although the owner promptly activated the heat a day before your arrival, the size of the pool meant that the heating element was unable to fully warm the pool in time. This does not reflect the owner or the property and Evolve takes full responsibility. It's worth noting that the temperatures were in the 80s during your stay, which would naturally enhance the temperature of the pool.
    -To maintain the utmost cleanliness standards, we enlist the services of a professional cleaning company to meticulously sanitize the home between guest stays. Be assured that your accommodation met our rigorous cleanliness standards prior to your check-in as our cleaning team documents their work with images after each cleaning session. We encourage guests to communicate any concerns during their stay so that we can promptly address and resolve any issues, ensuring a more comfortable experience for all.
    -We appreciate your feedback regarding the absence of pool toys and beach chairs during your stay. After reviewing our listing, we have confirmed that it does not mention the inclusion of pool toys or beach chairs. We sincerely regret any confusion that may have arisen in this regard.

    Evolve team was awesome. We has an issue, could not contact the guest contact person the entire time, but the team at Evolve was terrific

    Too many issues with the house. Listing is not accurate, does not say that the garage is not accessible, which makes storing bikes, beach chairs etc difficult. The so called ‘private boat dock’ is unusable due to large sail boat docked there. Lanai is severely damaged and we not told until after the refund period and a week before our stay. Pool heater does not work and we were charged a daily fee for the heater. The sprinkler system has problems and spews smelly water all over the backyard for hours at a time. Lots of small items missing, no carrot peeler, no tea kettle, no broom. Electrical problems with outside lights and outlets. Went on vacation to relax, not be a handy man. Communication was horrible, contacted VRBO, all I got was an email saying a case had been opened and closed. Evolve could only apologize and say the ‘team’ was working on it, but then would not get back to us. Got the owners phone number, spoke with them the first time I called, then they would not respond after that. Can not recommend this property in its current state and can not recommend Evolve. Even had to call about the check in process because they never sent the email with instructions.

  • Nice house, but don’t expect to fish off the dock

    The house was nice, uniquely designed. The neighborhood was quiet. We especially liked the screened-in pool area where we enjoyed morning coffee. The large living room, with a big screen TV, had lots of Premium On Demand channels, which was a bonus. Because we are from snow country, we were looking for a house on a canal where we could fish from a private dock and swim in a heated pool. We brought our fishing gear and swimwear, accordingly. Unfortunately, neither of those things happened. We contacted the property manager when we arrived to ask about the pool being 64 degrees. She came right over and turned on the pool heater to heat up the pool. However, the next day when the pool was around 72 degrees, she put the pool heater on a timer, which prevented the pool from ever getting to a swimmable temperature because of the cold weather. Although the listing says it has a private dock and does show you a picture of the corner of the dock, in reality the entire dock is blocked by a sailboat that is docked there. Our hopes of fishing were never realized. Again, the house is nice, just don't expect to do any canal fishing from the dock and beware that the pool heater is on a timer that might prevent it from coming up to swimmable temperatures in the winter months.

    - The pool heat was set to 85 degrees for your stay, but since the weather was in the 50s-60s, the pool could not get as hot as you would have preferred
    - There is not a timer set on the pool heater
    - While there is a boat at the dock, guests can still use the dock or the 40ft of canal access to fish
