• Weirdest rental I've been to

  This is my second time writing this review. My first one was never posted.

  There were many things that we tried to tell the local representative when we arrived. The trash cans were full, and a small storm blew it all over the yard. We had to clean up the mess that it made as soon as we arrived. There was a dirty spoon in the sink. The air vent looked like it had never been cleaned. It had like an inch worth of dust on it.

  There were alot of rooms locked. Possibly a third, master bedroom, closets, the way to the back door were all locked so you couldn't get in. There were notes on some things asking not to mess with it. There was a china cabinet in the living room that had a ton of prescriptions in it. There is a Ring on the front door. I thought it was very creepy.

  I have rented alot of different places, but this is definitely the weirdest one I have ever been to. Keep in mind, I did attempt to address these things when we arrived, but the representative only addressed the wifi issues we had.

  From the homeowner: "We apologize for your unhappy experience. The property is a family home recently turned into a vacation rental, so we're still ironing out the kinks as far as making the home more enjoyable for customers. The house is located in a residential neighborhood where trash runs two days a week (Tuesdays and Fridays). Since you checked in on a Monday, trash was still waiting to be picked up the following morning, and I apologize for the inconvenience. We provided a phone number to the cleaning crew so that would have been happy to clean up after the storm. As for rooms being locked, the property is advertised as a "2 Bedroom Rental", the two guest rooms and bath are open, and the main bedroom and office have been locked. The nightly price and cleaning fee for more bedrooms would be significantly higher, and we're looking at keeping this as a value option for our guests. We made several changes since your stay two months ago, like removing unnecessary cabinets and furniture to provide more space as well as supplying a more detailed checklist for our cleaning crew. We hope you reconsider and stay with us again."
