Spacious Ocala Home w/ Lanai & Private Pool!

  The Pros: The house and it's location was ideal for our situation of family convening from various states to attend a wedding. it was well laid-out for our purposes, the kitchen was well-stocked, the decor was pleasant, there was adequate seating for meals, and the beds were all comfortable.

  The Cons: the living room seating was lacking in capacity and extremely uncomfortable - the sofa is probably good for sleeping but terrible (!) for sitting. thankfully, the lanai dining chairs were comfortable and light-weight enough to move in and out as needed.

  we felt that the owners must not stay in the home as many minor things need attention: the ice-maker did not work, some lights need new bulbs, one dining room chair is questionable for safety and one kitchen chair seat pad is not secure, some of the remotes for fans/lights were missing or not working - the fan in the king guest room could not be operated without the light being on and the floor fan in that room was missing a leg and had to be propped up to stand, the outside entrance light would go out after 10/15 minutes so people coming back after dark had no light. the toilet seat in one of the bathrooms is the wrong size, the bed linens were clean but very worn, there were plenty of towels but very few face cloths, and the floors were dirty - people walking barefoot or in white socks noted they turned black! we were unable to use the pool, because it was too cold. most of us came down from northerns states and we'd have paid extra to be able to heat the pool. having once owned a vrbo property ourselves, we can understand how some of these issues may go unnoticed if the owner does not occasionally occupy the property. while we enjoyed our stay and were satisfied with the property for the most part, we hope that by bringing these things to your attention, they can be addressed to benefit future guests. This is a great property for a very large party.

  The home had plenty of bedrooms to accommodate at least 10 people. However the living room only seats 5-6 people. Maintenance is less than expected, with a broken ice maker, ants in the kitchen and bathroom, at least 5 light bulbs out, and more.Note, there are starter supplies of most of detergents and paper goods but no soap, shampoo or conditioner in the bathrooms.

  Pool was great for the kids. Living room couch needs an upgrade but the house was perfect for a large group.
