  I want to first start by saying that I am a native South Floridian (born and raised) and I make regular trips down here, so I understand the landscape of the housing market, the weather, etc. What my family and I experienced in this rental was every bit of disgust and disappointment.

  Our trip was slated to include a 12 hour drive with meals and bathroom breaks included. During our drive we were contacted multiple times by the property manager “Val” about our eta (Estimated time of arrival). Check-in was any time after 4pm, so we knew that we could drive without rushing. Little did we know that by the time we reached the rental; around 9:40 pm, “Val” would still be in the rental folding laundry. Val took a picture of my license and had me sign a form. No sooner than Val exited the rental we were presented with so many problems with the rental. I have placed them in list form to save keystrokes:

  1. Heavy amounts of make-up and eyeliner on pillows, walls, and light switches

  2. Stains on beds

  3. Dirty dishes

  4. Sticky substance on floor

  5. Dirty pool

  6. Broken garbage disposal

  7. Broken keyless front door pad ( I had to take the batteries out to reset according to Val: multiple times)

  8. Tattered and stained linen

  9. Roaches (Palmetto bug as Val would say)

  10. Broken shower door

  We made multiple calls to evolve and Val to rectify the issues, but the roach crawling over the silverware in the drawer was the last straw. Val addressed the stains on the pillow by buying new pillows and the broken garbage disposal by jamming a broom handle down the drain to reset it, but the other items were not addressed. We were told by evolve that we weren’t able to transfer to another home because we were under a contractual agreement with the property owner. They informed us that the owner would have to agree to it despite the bad living conditions. My advice to any renters after us is spend your hard earned money elsewhere.

  We're sorry to hear your stay did not meet your expectations. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:
  -The property manager stayed late to tour the home with you, and no issues were raised at that time. A cleaner was on-site the next morning to address your concerns, though communication proved challenging. We responded promptly and made every effort to ensure your comfort.
  -New pillows were promptly provided, the cleaning fee was refunded as a gesture of goodwill, and our cleaning crew was informed of your concerns to help ensure the highest standards moving forward.
  -The pool is professionally serviced on Mondays and Thursdays, as noted in the listing. While this schedule helps maintain water quality, outdoor elements can sometimes cause debris to appear between cleanings.
  -The garbage disposal was fully functional prior to your arrival, but was later found to be jammed by a small toy. Our property manager promptly cleared the blockage, restoring it to full use.
  -The keypad required a quick reset, which we understand was inconvenient. Since it was a newly installed lock, it was replaced after your first use to ensure reliable access moving forward.
  -The property is professionally treated on a regular basis to maintain a comfortable environment. However, in Florida, occasional sightings of palmetto bugs can be unavoidable despite preventative measures.
  -The shower issue was not reported during your stay, but it was promptly addressed after your departure to ensure it will not affect future stays.
  We strive to provide an exceptional experience for all guests, as reflected in the consistent positive feedback we receive.

  The property was all that it described on the website. It was spacious and clean. The provided adequate linens and and bath towels. The 3 bedrooms and 3 baths were perfect for two couples and 1 single person. The grounds are very well maintained and relaxi
