    When we arrived the property was totally overgrown. Not at all like the picture of the front door. The pool area was full of mold and mildew and screened porch has holes in the screen so it was buggy. We called property mgr and they came the next day and power washed the pool area. All the dirt went into the pool and the pool vacuum was broken. Pool was unusable . Sink faucet was broken but they replaced it the day after we arrived. One bedroom was unusable as it had an air mattress not a bed. We complained and 2 days later they bought a mattress and delivered it at dinner time. Not impressed with property but the mgmt company was excellent in their responses. First time we were burned by VRBO.

    Bill, the right vacation home is everything, and we're disappointed if this wasn't the one for you. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:
    -We want to apologize for the inconvenience you experienced relating to the Mattress. We have always had a Sleep Number Air Mattress in that bedroom; we discovered that its motor had malfunctioned so we ordered a new one. Since the new motor was going to take 5-7 days to arrive, we decided to purchase another queen-size air mattress to go on the frame. We understood that this was not to your liking, so we ordered a normal queen-size mattress to arrive as soon as possible. Hopefully, you felt more comfortable once that arrived. We have since replaced the mattress with a king-sized bed.
    -We believe that the pool area may have had some apparent mold and mildew; this can accumulate quickly in a Florida climate. Unfortunately, our professional power washing service was scheduled to come after your stay, which is why our property management team took it upon themselves to clean the area in a timely fashion. We understand your concern about the runoff into the pool; upon further inspection, the pool equipment was functioning. Though we're sorry to hear about your level of discomfort after the cleaning. We have discussed this matter with our management team so that we pay more attention to the patio moving forward.
    -We came by the following week and did notice a small hole in the screen of the pool cage, but we did not see it as "buggy". This issue will be dealt with effectively. The front door is exactly as presented in the photos. This 1-acre property is highly vegetative; you cannot see the house from the street and it is a flag lot, which is also represented in the photos.
    -We're glad management was able to quickly fix the broken faucet.

  • Great house, but check for bed bugs

    The house and location are amazing. The property is very private, the house was great split plan, amazing kitchen and butler pantry. There were cigarette bits throughout the outside, and the cleaners missed someone else’s moldy drink cup behind. We stayed 4 nights and 2 guests had bites all over them, it didn’t dawn on us to check their bed till the last night, where unfortunately bed bugs were found. All other beds and were clear, so it was isolated to one room. Owners stated they will be treating that and won’t be an issue in the future. Overall the house and stay was good, until we found the bugs.

    My family and I just stayed at this house and it was very big for all 12 of us. But, there was a lot we read on this post that was false. For one the air was a issue thankfully someone can put quick to fix it and the AC was completely off on one side of the house. Two one of the bed was a Sleep number mattress and it was completely flat the nice guy tried to fix it but couldn’t. So my mother and sister had to sleep on a air mattress which wasn’t any better. Outside tv works, has no cable connected to it. TVs we’re connected to light switches. The renter book says trash pick up is Wednesday, it’s not it’s Thursday. We paid a lot of money for this house and I don’t think we will rent that house again. I’d rate this house a 3 out of 5.

    Hi Ashley, we always appreciate hearing from our guests, but the homeowner would like to take a moment to clarify a few things raised in your review:
    - As you mentioned, it is a quick fix to turn the AC back on if it gets turned off and we're glad that this was easily resolved for you.
    - We apologize that the sleep number pump was not working correctly - this has since been replaced. When we learned that you were unhappy on the air mattress, we purchased a new queen bed and box spring and had it delivered and set up for you.
    - All of the TVs are smart TVs and 3 of them are connected to cable. The others are set up so that guests can connect to their own streaming services. The TV in the master bedroom is connected to a light switch (that can be kept off) and we apologize if this impacted your stay.
    - The county recently switched their trash pick up days but this should not be an issue for guests as they are not responsible for taking the trash to the curb.

  • The outside of this property is very dirty (outside family room, pool area and front of the property

    The house has 2 a/c one of the a/c didn't work for 2 days. The pool area doesn't have any toys like you see in the pictures. The house needs to be updated, repair and more clean inside and the outside. The stove is a little complicated to use it.

    - Although we do our best to keep the outdoor area clean, if there are a few days between guest check-out and the next check-in, it is certainly possible for Mother Nature to have an effect on the outdoor area once our cleaning crew has left.
    - The AC units have recently been repaired and we apologize for any issues you experienced with it.
    - The pool floats have been damaged but we would have been happy to provide you with some more had you reached out during your stay! We apologize that these weren't available upon arrival.
    - The stove is an induction range and has directions for use on it.
