  We stayed 3 nights during Thanksgiving break with 3 kids 10 and under. We hosted a small Thanksgiving with family from Pensacola. We had warm weather and then cold weather. The kids fished, swam, kayaked, and had a fire in the fire pit. The house was comfortable and had everything we needed.

  Super quiet until night before Labor Day but to be expected. Direct access to the river for kayaks which are provided. Plenty of local shopping for groceries or coffee. Was close to the state park and other water sport areas. We walked daily and never had any issues. Cabin could use mattress upgrades especially in second bedroom.

  We stayed here for 4 nights with our 3 kids, ages 11,8, and 3. We had a fabulous time and spent our mornings at the ocean and our afternoons kayaking and paddle boarding the river. We especially enjoyed kayaking to the sandbar the owners mentioned in the information book. The kids loved playing there. We also enjoyed fishing off the dock and being so close to the river. We wanted to see just one alligator and we got our wish one afternoon. It was exciting for my kids! We hope to come back next year!

• Beautiful, Relaxing, Peaceful Family Getaway

  This was such a perfect getaway for me and my husband. It was so quiet and peaceful and relaxing. The picture’s in the post do not do this place any justice it’s actually a lot better in person. The king size bed in the master was so comfortable and the sheets felt amazing. My husband and I loved the water pressure in the master bathroom. It felt so good to come in from a long day on the river and stand there and enjoy the heat and pressure from the shower. We stayed four days. Our grandkids came and stayed with us for a night they loved playing on the kayaks. We also brought our own boat, and it was so nice to get up every morning and just walk out onto our boat and go down the river The owners were so helpful when it came to questions about docking our boat, and also they promised to deal with some concerns that we had. The house was well-stocked with plenty of towels and wash rags, paper towels, and garbage bags. Plenty of dishes and silverware in the kitchen. The only problem we had was the pots and pans were a little outdated but we addressed the issue with the owners and they had no problem addressing our concerns. We brought our lab with us and he enjoyed playing in the water with the kids and hanging out by the fire pit with the whole family while making s’more’s. We were very excited to see that the owners had firewood cut up for us to enjoy in the fire pit. That was a big plus for us because everywhere else we have stayed we’ve had to bring our own firewood.The location is very conveniently, located to shops, restaurants and a Lot of downtown activities but still quietly tucked away down by the river and nature. We seen a lot of wildlife while we stayed here like Ducks, Geese, Turtles but not as many alligators as we thought we would see, THANK GOD! 😅 We’d love to come back again next year and stay even longer.

  This is such a perfect getaway. It's so quiet, so perfectly peaceful and relaxing. It's even better in real life than the pictures make it out to be. We loved everything about our stay here. It's so cute, the decor is great, it felt so welcoming to be here. The bed was so incredibly comfortable. The items stocked in the cabin made it so convenient, kitchen and bathroom items, but also the kayaks, paddle boards, and life jackets for enjoying the river! The host was super nice as well, very quick to respond when we reached out for anything. We brought our dogs and they loved playing in the river here. The location is very conveniently located to shops and activities but feels so private at the same time. We'd love to come back again next year and stay even longer. It honestly wouldn't feel like a complete Florida vacation without this place. It's so above and beyond, it truly deserves more than five stars.
