What a disappointment...
2/5 We paid over $2,000 for a three-night stay for what was meant to be a family holiday getaway over New Year’s Eve. Unfortunately, upon arrival we discovered multiple major problems, including:
- A window that is almost broken, allowing a significant amount of cold wind to enter one bedroom. We couldn’t sleep properly;
- A kitchen drawer that falls down when opened, creating a safety hazard;
- An oven that does not work, which was not disclosed in the listing (we specifically planned to cook and bake for New Year’s Eve);
- We found a swimsuit in the balcony;
- A sleeping sofa mattress that is extremely dirty, with a large stain that appears to be blood, which is completely unacceptable from a hygiene and health standpoint.
These issues demonstrate a clear failure to meet basic standards of safety, cleanliness, and accuracy of listing. Had these conditions been disclosed, we would never have booked this property.
The on-site team tried to help us, but they were unable to resolve the issues.
I contacted the Evolve team about to get a reimbursement, but they stopped replying to my emails. What a bad experience. They don't care about the guests!

4/5 Overall a good experience. Edgewater Lodge is where I prefer to stay when in the Florida keys. Staff is always friendly.
