  When we first got there, there was a musty smell but it quickly went away after turning the air on. Showers aren’t long. Hot water runs out quickly but gives just enough time. All the neighbors were great, my husband had no luck fishing, but he had fun trying. Close to everything, we love Skinny’s bar!

  We booked this house because we needed a place we could store our boat trailer and wanted a dock we could tie up to if needed.

  Here is the gist of it.

  1. This rental is not much more expensive than a decent motel in that area.

  2. You can dock your boat and their is room for a trailer as well.

  3. It is close to New Port Richey which has some good restaurants and fun breweries.

  4. The bed was comfortable, the refrigerator worked well, the ac/ heat worked warmed and cooled well.

  5. The tv is huge and has a good picture, the internet was good too.

  6. The water pressure is good and the shower gets hot quickly.

  All in all, I would say that for the money, it is worth it, especially if you are needing an economical place to dock your boat and store your trailer.

• Flawed Gem

  Somebody once lavished some attention on this property, but has let it slide a little. Some blinds are broken, solar lights are missing from the dock, bedroom door doesn’t fully close. Why oh why has the (advertised) dishwasher not been replaced or fixed, for a year or more looking at older reviews. Pans were greasy, cups coffee stained, and as for the plastic tumblers?? We are safe with glass honest! Didn’t know I was camping. Bug screens have been completely removed, which was fine at this time of year, but beware the buggy season. The area is a little bit trailer chic, but safe and some ok walking distance places nearby. There is an easy to miss step between the kitchen area and lounge, which caused many a stubbed toe and stumble, thought about adding bright tape to the edge as a reminder. On the plus, the outdoor is spectacular at sunset and great for birdwatching with an albeit plastic beer/wine…

• Modest but comfortable. Area a little rough, but pretty quiet.
