We stayed in this exact same rental last year, under different ownership. The house is in such a cool location, especially if you are into kayaking. You can access the Homosassa river (plan for a few hours out), if you put the work in. There aren't many manatees to see in the summer - they don't come in until October or so. But summer scalloping season makes up for the lack of manatees. Regardless, this little house is tastefully appointed and the new owners are very "hands off", which I love. Check-in/Check-out procedures are very short and sweet. Beds and bedding are incredibly comfortable. The new gas range makes cooking a breeze. And the multiple kayaks means everyone can get out together.
Great stay!
liked it, I never had to talk to property manager

We had a great time here at the cottage. It was decorated perfectly and plenty roomy! Loved the fire pit and kayaks. Right down the canal (go right looking toward canal) is emu island with emus and alpacas. Just a short paddle over to Halls Ferry River. We had not explored Citrus County before and didn't know about all the fun things to do in the area - the wildlife refuge, Cracker Resort with monkey island, three sisters springs. It was a great trip! Thank you for the wonderful place to stay!
From the owner: "Thank you and we are so pleased you enjoyed our home. This area is such a great place to visit. I hope you come stay with us again!"
