  Pictures just can’t do justice to this beautiful eclectic home!

  Every picture, every piece of artwork, every table, every light - all create a feast for the eyes!

  Upstairs includes a wonderful sitting area to watch the ocean especially at sunset. Floor to ceiling windows. This is where we spent the majority of our time. The spacious master bath is upstairs (however we preferred the king bed downstairs). The kitchen worked just fine for us upstairs but the nicer kitchen is downstairs. There were only two of us but plenty of room for 6 adults.

  Outside is a tropical garden. It has the most beautiful tropical landscaping and everything was well maintained. The deck has nice furniture and a perfect view.

  We also enjoyed the outside bath and shower. It is just steps to the beach. Beach chairs are provided. We also had a lot of fun finding sharks teeth on the beach!

  Location is a great area. It is in a gated community with many beautiful homes. The city of Englewood is near Manasota Key with everything you might need. The beach at the house is great but we also wandered down to road to other beaches and restaurants on the beach.

  Our contact person was Lora and she very quickly answered every question we had. She was so accommodating to let us check out a little later. We appreciated having her as our contact.

  The biggest problem with the house and the only reason I can’t give it 5++ stars is the pool. It was dirty on our arrival although Lora offered to come clean it. But the temperature of the pool stayed at 65-68 degrees. There was no way we could use it. There is a strong chlorine smell downstairs (understandable) and the pool comes on for circulation ever so often even in the night (understandable) but these are not as easy to appreciate when we couldn’t use the pool. The sign on the refrigerator says it is heated to 85 degrees so it could be heated and would make it much more pleasurable for guests.

  Would we come back? Yes!

  We loved everything about this rental. Every detail was amazing, from the location, to the property, to the house itself. My family loved exploring and playing in the "back yard". The outdoor shower/bathtub are what dreams are made of :)

  We had an amazing time staying here. The best part about this home and property is how much privacy you have. The beach was never crowded. The home is perfect and has just about everything you'll need.

• Inside chaos in outside paradise

  This house is situated in a gated community-the first house in-which according to the owners does not get good WiFi. I’m doubtful their router was up to date nor did they have boosters but the WiFi does work sometimes in certain areas in the house. They were clear on that, however, unfortunately my cell service (Verizon) was also extremely spotty, which I found a bit unnerving to be cut from contact. When arriving there was no toilet paper at all in the downstairs bathrooms and almost finished rolls on the top of the house. When you’re paying a good amount, you expect some paper products but there’s none. The microwave downstairs also does not work.I have no way to describe this house except to say it should be completely redone. The dark, cavelike downstairs consists of a spare bedroom with a mural, washer/dryer, a vanity, shower and a toilet in the HALL (toilet is behind bifold doors), a master bedroom that’s frighteningly red, has a lady mural, and a half bath. There’s also an outdated stainless steel kitchen, a pool in the living room, a bar, and small dining area. The Wi-Fi works mostly only in the master bedroom and upstairs. The pool cannot be used as a hot tub because you cannot turn it up, nor use it as a swim spa because owner has that locked up. You can stand in lukewarm water and that’s about it. Pool goes off ALL the time throughout the day and night and makes loud noises. In fact, this house is so noisy, it’s scary. There are so many odd noises-one almost replicates the turning on and off of a lock. I was so frightened we ended up buying some Brinks door security bars. (We did have an incident of a trespasser from the not private beach on the property.) The upstairs has an open bedroom, two living rooms, a deck, kitchen, dining room, and two toilets, shower/bath combo. It’s all out in the open and privacy is limited. It’s also decorated strangely and does NOT give you beach house vibes. The color red is a theme and my sister said she wasn’t sure about the stability of the deck. It has one table out there that has seen better days.I rented this house for the outdoor bath and it did not disappoint. Taking baths outside, under palm trees in a hut was extraordinary. There are two outdoor showers, the beach out the back door is a long walking/shelling beach (public access is very close) and I very much loved being on the outside of this house. Good restaurants nearby.

  Hi Christine, we want all of our guests to rest easy when they stay with us, and we're sorry that you experienced some issues during your trip. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:
  -We always try to accommodate our guests and the charm of the property is its location who want to escape the city and stress of everyday life and tune out the world, enjoy nature and relax by the beach. There are plenty of activities and restaurants and shopping within a few minutes away.
  -Cable providers are not available to this private community. Our Wi-Fi is provided by Via-Sat and the cable is the best we can find in our location. This is fully disclosed under the description of the property. We also installed a booster for better cell service and we have not had a problem inside the house.
  -The microwave is new and in good working order. If there was difficulty in using it, assistance could have been provided if notified.
  -We have a professional cleaning crew and new toilet paper is left before each stay if missed, we wish you would have contacted them to replenish supplies.
  -The pool is indoor and has an air-conditioned space and not a spa/hot tub. Its kept at eighty-five degrees and does run on a pre-programmed cycle for filtration purposes.
  -The property is surrounded by woods and many trees. There is a bird sanctuary to the north. There are nature sounds that one may not be familiar with. The lock noises heard are the electronic locks that are set up for safety. They automatically lock after a short period, assuring that the main doors are locked.
  -This house was completely renovated three years ago. including the kitchen, electrical system, a/c, plumbing, and other structures were redone or newly built without changing the character of the original home.
  -There are three bedrooms in this house, meant for no more than six guests. The upstairs is the honeymoon suite. There is a fully locked door between upstairs and downstairs. This allows for total privacy and enjoyment for a couple upstairs. It boasts his and hers private bathrooms, two sitting areas and is self-contained.
  -We are sorry that you did not enjoy the décor. Our photos depict the listing accurately so the guests can decide before booking if the style matches their preferences.
