• Some issues but overall would book again.

  When we first arrived I immediately noticed that the pool was extremely green. I messaged the host and though it took him a few hours to get back with me, the issue was worked on. Cape Coral had had some flooding the week prior and I'm guessing that this is what had caused the pool to get green. My kids swim in lakes in Alabama so it wasn't too big of a deal but to pay $900 for a week you would expect the pool to be clear. The house was a bit dated but overall pleasant. Plenty of space and clean. It would be nice if the host would provide more essentials such as trash bags, dish soap, and other cleaning supplies. As with three kids, you can imagine I was cleaning the entire week. The beds were extremely comfortable and the kitchen was stocked with plenty of cookware so I was able to cook all the meals I needed. Nice large refrigerator and not one but two coffee makers.

  The home is older, but in great condition. Lots of space to spread out. In a quiet neighborhood with a nice view over the canal in the back. It would be nice if the pool was heated! Overall a great experience.

• House is decent, location is not beach friendly

  Our stay was fine. The house had everything we needed and was in decent condition, but the age of the bathrooms was evident. The pool is not heated, so it was too cold for adults to swim, but the kids enjoyed it. We stayed the last week of March, so the pool is probably warmer in later months. This is not a luxury rental, but the price reflects that.

  Be aware that this house is easily 30-40 minutes to the closest public beach. Traffic in the area was very heavy at all times of the day, so expect longer travel times for even short trips to the store, etc.

  - Our listing doesn't advertise the pool as heated since we don't offer this service. However, we appreciate your feedback, and we're exploring the possibility of adding this feature as part of future upgrades. 
  - We include a map on our listing so that guests can see the approximate location of the home before booking. We encourage guests to research the area to determine if the location meets their preferences. We also provide a welcome book containing tips for avoiding traffic as much as possible and accessing faster routes.

  The neighborhood was quiet, but the property was dated and not as clean as I would expect something on VRBO to be. Doors were dirty throughout the home and the pool area was very poorly maintained. The general clutter in the garage and laundry area was also not great. The biggest issue turned out to be the keys. There should be one that unlocks all the locks as it’s very easy to get locked out of the house. There is a deadbolt on the front door that has no lock and the garage door had no opener available that we found. The house also wound up being much further from Cape Coral than expected, so that didn’t help. We were only there a few nights, but I wouldn’t stay again.

  House in need of a deep cleaning. Cracks around counters and floors allowed ants to get in. Pest plug ins are evidence of problems.

  Too much clutter in cabinets and garage. Seems like no one cleaned out to prepare for people to rent. Way too many glasses of odd size in kitchen cabinets.

  Pool area needs to be power washed.

  30 inch Television way too small. Living room furniture too uncomfortable.

  Pots and pans are inadequate. Appliances were very nice. Needed better coffee maker.
