  We absolutely adored this place. There are so many thoughtful and well organized areas that were perfect for smaller groups of people to enjoy together or separately. We had a group of 3 teens and another group of 3 smaller boys that came for the day. Some people went to the river while others stayed back at the pool. The outdoor bathroom near the pool area was VERY convenient.

  The kitchen was well stocked and the beds were all very comfortable. We loved the TV in the pool area. The outdoor kitchen and dining area was wonderful and great for cooking for our group of 10. I didn't realize there is an elevator! I so want to go back and bring my parents who are 84 and 72 years old.

  Highly recommend this rental to anyone of all ages. There really is something for everyone to enjoy.

• Dreamy River Weekend!!

  This house is an absolute dream! You truly can’t beat the river views and the peaceful, natural landscape just across the water—it’s the perfect place to relax and unwind. On top of that, the pool and hot tub were amazing bonuses and made the stay feel even more special!!

  The cabin is comfortable and works perfectly for multiple families or groups to stay together. It had everything we needed, and the cozy atmosphere really made it feel like a true home away from home.

  We also loveee that it’s just a short drive to several beautiful springs, which made exploring the area even more fun. There’s even an adorable strawberry field/farm stand down the road, which was such a sweet touch!

  You do not want to pass up the chance to stay at this cozy, serene riverfront retreat. I can’t wait to come back and make even more amazing memories here!

• Great Family Time

  This is a great place to take your children and grandchildren. They can run free over the 1.5 acre property that is totally fenced in. Your pets are welcome, too. The home is spacious, clean, and well-equipped, but the real attraction is the outdoors. I walked the property with my 4 year granddaughter and the dogs, enjoying the many nuances of the property. We walked from the country road to the river. The property is on the beautiful Suwannee River and has a floating dock and a sandy little beach. The dogs enjoyed taking a dip in the river. It is like being in a small nature preserve. There are many amenities on the property including a very nice outdoor bathroom, a big swimming pool with a large hot tub, a river viewing deck, a fish cleaning station, a deer feeder, and a large covered patio (under the house) with several grills. This is a great place for kids to play on a rainy day. A great golf course is nearby in Lake City and there are several quaint restaurants and a boat ramp and park in Branford (less than a mile away). If you want privacy and fun, this is a great place to enjoy a campfire, canoeing, kayaking, and fishing.

  Close to Gainesville and Tallahassee.

  I had the pleasure of celebrating my birthday at the Bucks River Retreat. We had a group of 8 adults and 2 kids staying there and there was plenty of room for every one. The house is clean and cozy with a fun cabin vibe. The property is absolutely gorgeous! Plenty of room to park, party, cook out, swim and of course enjoy the Suwannee river. The dock is newly redone and fun place to hang out. I can’t wait to go back and stay at the Bucks again. It had every thing you need and so much more.

  My husband and I, along with our two labradors, had the most wonderful, relaxing, and special time staying at the Bucks River Retreat! This property truly is a little slice of paradise, that can accommodate a large group of people but is also perfect for a couples or family getaway. Some of my favorite highlights that I enjoyed here were the screened in heated pool and hot tub, a convenient outdoor bathroom, fire pit area, a beautiful dock from the backyard that allows you to enjoy a quick stroll through the woods leading out to the Suwannee River, and a private little beach area! Bucks River Retreat is the perfect place to relax and unwind, party and play, or all of the above —all year round! The hosts are so warm and accommodating, and helped us make the absolute most out of our time here. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be coming back again soon!
