  This is a great place to take your children and grandchildren. They can run free over the 1.5 acre property that is totally fenced in. Your pets are welcome, too. The home is spacious, clean, and well-equipped, but the real attraction is the outdoors. I walked the property with my 4 year granddaughter and the dogs, enjoying the many nuances of the property. We walked from the country road to the river. The property is on the beautiful Suwannee River and has a floating dock and a sandy little beach. The dogs enjoyed taking a dip in the river. It is like being in a small nature preserve. There are many amenities on the property including a very nice outdoor bathroom, a big swimming pool with a large hot tub, a river viewing deck, a fish cleaning station, a deer feeder, and a large covered patio (under the house) with several grills. This is a great place for kids to play on a rainy day. A great golf course is nearby in Lake City and there are several quaint restaurants and a boat ramp and park in Branford (less than a mile away). If you want privacy and fun, this is a great place to enjoy a campfire, canoeing, kayaking, and fishing.

  Close to Gainesville and Tallahassee.

  I had the pleasure of celebrating my birthday at the Bucks River Retreat. We had a group of 8 adults and 2 kids staying there and there was plenty of room for every one. The house is clean and cozy with a fun cabin vibe. The property is absolutely gorgeous! Plenty of room to park, party, cook out, swim and of course enjoy the Suwannee river. The dock is newly redone and fun place to hang out. I can’t wait to go back and stay at the Bucks again. It had every thing you need and so much more.

  I cannot recommend this stay more strongly. I am a diver and I booked this place to have somewhere to stay during a training at Troy springs. It is the PERFECT location for access to all the best springs in the area. The house itself is incredibly cozy, spacious and would be fantastic for families or groups of friends alike. The property is close to everything you need in Branford, but super private and feels like you are in a forest retreat. We went down to the dock every morning with coffee to listen to the birds and it was incredibly peaceful. Hot tub and bonfire at night to wind down. This place is the BEST!! And the communication with the host was seamless. Highly highly recommend.
