  Peggy’s place is situated just outside of the heart of DC so it made a perfect place to be close to major sights without being in the hustle and bustle of the city. It is nicely remodeled and has plenty of space. Leah, our host, pro actively communicated and made sure our stay went well.

  Home away from home is what it reminded me of…

• Great house - poorly stocked

  The actual property was great but for a high end and costly rental, we found the house to be poorly stocked and not attentive to detail. There was no shampoo in bathrooms, only bar soap provided. No tupperware, no foil or plastic wrap. Limited dishes - only 4 mugs provided meant we had to wash them daily to have coffee in the morning and tea in the afternoon. The manager was very responsive but we grew tired of asking for all of the little things so we just adjusted on our own. The manager brought us wine glasses and pillows when requested. The shower in the claw foot tub works only as a hand held shower. There were several lightbulbs out, including the light over the sink and the light over the stove. We were cooking and hosting a Passover dinner which we told the owner/management company ahead of time, but we had trouble seeing in these areas of the kitchen for cooking. Again, the house has great space - just needs someone to provide more amenities as there were none!

As a frequent traveler internationally and throughout the US, and having stayed at multiple short-term rentals, I am unsure if the supplied items you mentioned are standard requirements since routinely they are not present at the rentals. We appreciate your comments, and in the future, we will take them into consideration.
  There is a listing of the amenities that are present at the home for review prior to booking the property. As a party of 4 staying at the home, six pillows were supplied. Leah happily provided two additional pillows and light bulbs at your request. We definitely appreciate your comments concerning the light bulbs, as we were unaware that they were out.
  We did receive a request prior to your arrival to host a dinner party for eight guests and to allow your son’s dog to be present during that time. As you were aware, no parties are allowed at this property, however, an exception was made. It was not our understanding, that given the exception, additional stocking items would be required by us to provide. As stated in the listing, the house accommodates 6 guests so the provided amenities are along those guidelines.
  Fortunately, the claw foot shower does work as an overhead shower but can be a bit tricky to operate. Instructions for its use will be provided for future guests, thanks to your feedback."

• Very nice home

  Beautiful, updated home. More than enough room for our family of five. Was a little worried about the neighborhood at first but discovered it was very safe. The only minor complaint was that the air filter at the top of the second floor was really dirty, looked like it's been a few years since it's been changed. Would definitely stay here again though.
