• Peaceful getaway with amazing views of the lake

  My husband and I were looking for a nice lakefront home to relax with our 2 boys ages 12 and 14. We also have membership to six flags and this property is within 20-30 minutes to the New England- Agawam location.

  The space is a little small but very quaint and VERY CLEAN. The kitchen looks like it was recently remodeled with a nice size gas stove and oven.

  After going through rough medical issues this past year- I want a place where I can relax and enjoy and this place gave us just that. It was peace.

  Having coffee in the deck each morning overlooking a serene and beautiful lake was an amazing start to each day.

  The area is not touristy which we liked a LOT. It is very quiet. The property is close to a Stop n Shop for any of your grocery needs and there's a lot of restaurants to choose from and a great antique village.

  We were greeted with a gift basket from the owners which included a pancake mix and syrup from a local farm.

  There are 2 bedrooms but only the main bedroom have AC (for those booking in the summer). The property has a portable fan available though.

  The property overall is an amazing place. The only thing to consider when booking the place is the long steps to get down to the property itself (70 steps total) So we got a lot of exercise going up and down to bring our stuff. If you have issues with stairs- this is not the place for you. We will definitely be back and are already looking forward to next summer!

• Peaceful Lake House with spectacular View

  My daughter and I enjoyed this charming lake house with such an extraordinary view!! It was clean, cozy and had everything we needed for our stay. We were greeted by a lovely and thoughtful welcome package that contained a delicious pancake mix and syrup which we thoroughly enjoyed. It was very much appreciated as we got in late at night without breakfast food with us for the next morning. We enjoyed the convenient location and would not hesitate to stay again were it not for the exceptionally long and inconvenient staircase which was rather stressful for us. I had booked this home before any reviews were published so I had no idea about the 70 stairs in total. I do think Evolve should be much clearer and more detailed in their description so prospective renters can make an informed decision if this is the right rental for them given the unusual amount of stairs. It was very stressful going down the stairs at night, in the rain and carrying up suitcases. I would still recommend this house as the view is really magnificent and it makes for a very special, peaceful stay but renters do need to be aware and okay with 70 stairs. I would highly recommend bringing a flashlight as well. The contact person, Marilyn was lovely. I had reached out to her prior to and during my stay and she was very kind and responsive. Were it not for the stairs, I would happily give the rental 5 stars- it is a special property and we enjoyed the house itself and the very much. • Too small with crazy neighbors.

  I knew this place was small but it was much smaller than I thought it would be. They said there would AC, there was no AC. The parking situation is a disaster, which they don't tell you about until you book it. You have to walk down a hill of 70 plus steps to get to the place. The neighbors out of their mind, one of them threatened someone in our group with a shotgun. I would not recommend this property.

  - The listing accurately states that the house is 1100 sq. feet.
  - The AC was removed as it is not needed in the cooler fall and winter months.
  - There are two clearly marked parking spaces available, and we note in the listing that stairs are required for access, but we're sorry this caught you off guard. We have updated the pre-stay email with this info as well.
  - Their neighbors were upset to find that you had blocked their car in, but there were absolutely no threats of weapons in the conversation.
  We are disappointed in your experience but confident that future guests will continue to have exceptional stays here!

• Perfect Weekend Trip

  If you're looking for a sweet house, on a lake, away from all of the congestion, this is the perfect place for you!My husband and I took out the kayaks and went for a beautiful ride on the lake. So peaceful.We ended up driving into Springfield for dinner and the casino which was only 30 min away.Thank you for sharing your home!!
