  • Cute, quaint little cottage

    We enjoyed our stay- cottage was cute and cozy and convenient for our needs. A couple of things I’d suggest for improvement: less furniture- the place is small and the furniture was too big and too much for the space; the bathroom could use an update - take away the carpeting (it didn’t look very clean) a small bath throw rug by the tub would be all that’s needed.

  • All good except the outrageous cleaning fees.

    The house was small but clean and charming. The base rental fee was fair but the standard cleaning fee plus the added cleaning fee for our dog plus the service fee were outrageous given the daily cost of the house. We paid just about as much in those fees as the rental price itself. There's no way it cost that much to clean this small cottage. It would have made more sense to take a security deposit for pet damage. I tried discussing this with the owner and Evolve prior to checking in but both were unresponsive. I will not stay there again or book with Evolve.

    -We strive to be transparent at every stage of the booking process, so all rates and fees are broken down for travelers before they confirm their reservation.
    -As for the cleaning fee, it covers the cost of having the home cleaned by our staff after each guest to ensure a sanitized and cleaned facility for the next stay. This is a common practice for all short-term rentals.

    Thank you for your insight, this homeowner works hard to provide an ideal stay for all guests, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests!

  • Older home Great view of Kenosia Lake

    Our stay started out with no internet. I called the host and she said she was waiting for a new router. It came Monday night and the host came over to install it. She offered for us to stay an extra night for our trouble. The bedrooms are upstairs and the bathroom is downstairs, so it is difficult if you need to get up in the middle of the night.

    There is no cable TV but we had a fire stick so it was not a problem.

    It is old and needs updating. Ok for a few days but for long term probably not worth it

    We had a very enjoyable and comfortable stay for our Christmas vacation. The house was very clean and cozy and the host was very responsive to questions. The lake is beautiful and the house is also very near Ridgefield, CT which was convenient
