  • Parking Issue


    Beware!!! Stayed in a different unit in Iron Horse April 2023 and received indoor parking. This unit that I rented December 2023 describes parking as "1 vehicle can be parked in the community parking lot". I was expecting to use the indoor parking. Hung the parking tag on the mirror and received a warning ticket for parking inside rather than outside. Will admit, did not read the parking tax which did say "outdoor parking" because I was expecting the same parking arrangement as my prior visit to Iron Horse. YOU REALLY DON'T WANT TO STAY IN THIS UNIT DURING THE WINTER & HAVE TO PARK OUTSIDE!!!!

    Were not for the parking issue, would not have written about the following, but since I am writing a review, here is the information.

    Like most hotels, they are providing shampoo and soap in large containers used by all guests. Problem is the containers are only checked to see if they are full. Here the pump does not work.

    The pullout couch in the picture not the couch currently in the unit. The current couch is a much smaller futon type sofa that lays flat for sleeping. Not nearly as comfortable as the one in the picture.

    My son noticed that staying in this unit resulted in all his clothes being covered in dog hair. You don't notice the dog hair until it is on your clothes. Need to clean this unit better.

    Last, 3 of the 4 track lights were burned out. Makes for a very dim unit.

    Stephen, this homeowner works hard to provide an ideal stay for all guests, and they would like to clarify the following:
    -We encourage guests to thoroughly review the listing before booking, to ensure they find the perfect vacation home for their needs. The parking pass clearly states outdoor parking only. The outdoor parking is immediately adjacent to our building. During the winter months, guests are encouraged to pull into the garage to unload and use the pull carts provided to transport their items. The parking garage is not allowed for guest use, only owners. Additionally, there are not nearly enough garage spaces available for everyone at the Ironhorse to park, especially during the winter. We have updated the parking information within the listing so future guests know what to expect.
    -Our guest contact is available to assist with any issue or concern you may have while in residence and we encourage our guests to reach out immediately for a most comfortable stay. We will check the pumps to ensure they are working properly.
    -The character and style of a home is a personal preference, and we furnished ours in hopes that it would appeal to most of our guests. We have made a few small upgrades within the home and have plans to update the listing photos so guests are aware.
    -Our studio is not pet-friendly and we strictly enforce that. We will make sure our cleaners pay special attention to cleaning the unit if they find evidence that a guest brought in a pet.
    -We have yet to receive a complaint regarding the lighting outside of the home and feel the lighting is adequate. We wish you had reached out to the Guest Contact during your stay if there were any issues you needed to be addressed.

    As is evidenced by the many great reviews, we are accustomed to providing five-star experiences and have worked very hard to provide a clean and comfortable place for guests to enjoy. We will continue to do all we can to provide the best possible stay for our guests and look forward to hosting many satisfied travelers.
