Stayed for two nights in August. House was beautiful, spotless, and extremely well stocked. They have thought of everything. It is literally next door to the shops and restaurants and hiking trails right out the door. We will be back for sure!
From the owner: "Rachel, Thank you for your incredibly kind words, and we truly hope you will come back and be our guest again soon at Alpine Haven. They just opened up a 'Tenderfoot Farms' store next door, and a bunch of really cool food trucks just help from our home."
The views are incredible from the property. We enjoyed fishing using the kayaks provided by the host and got some trout for lunch from the lake. My husband and my 7 year old son attempted to summit the mount Elbert that’s just right there in from of you. The local stores and art gallery are charming too. We could get the basics like milk, eggs, bacon, other meats next door.
We just wanted to get away for the weekend near trails and water. This was perfect.

My week-long stay in this property was the best rental home experience I've ever had. The house itself is stunning, with more than plenty of space and in a location center to dozens of different outdoor adventure opportunities. Even better than the house itself is the owner/host, Bert. My check-in date was originally in November, however someone in my party was unable to attend due to a sudden death in the family. Bert was more than understanding, allowing me to unfortunately cancel our reservation a day before the scheduled check in date. After this, he gave my party and I priority on rescheduling our stay at the same property, as well as a more than minor discount on this rescheduled stay. Additionally, Bert and I were in constant communication throughout this entire ordeal and during my stay. He provided many recommendations on things like restaurants and hikes, all of which were great recommendations.
I truly could not recommend staying at this property or even just at one of Bert's properties with more conviction. Any future stay in the state of Colorado for my party or myself with be with Bert.
From the owner: "Dear Doug,
Diane and I are so very touched by your words, grateful for guests like you, and grateful for the trust you placed in us throughout all our communications.
Extraordinary guests like you and your friends are exactly why we love being a host."
The house was amazing. Beautiful views and within walking distance to everything in Twin Lakes. Bert and Diane were wonderful hosts and did everything they could to accommodate us.
