• Beautiful, Private Mountain Stay with Great Amenities

  We had a very good stay overall, and several aspects of this house were excellent.

  The balcony was easily the highlight. We spent hours out there drinking coffee, talking, and enjoying the mountain air and scenery. Although other homes are nearby, the surrounding pine trees make the balcony feel remarkably private.

  The kitchen was exceptionally well stocked with cookware, utensils, appliances, spices, and other supplies. There were also some leftover coffee, tea, snacks, and pantry/freezer items, which was a nice convenience.

  The living room was spacious and comfortable, with a large TV and great surround sound. The pool table was one of the main reasons we chose the property, and we used it often. There are a few existing tears in the felt, but they didn't noticeably affect play. The sauna was another highlight, and the hot tub worked well and was generally clean and easy to use. Bedding and towels also looked and smelled clean.

  There were only a few maintenance and cleaning issues. The Roku TV system installed does not work (as of 8/2026). The Roku remote seemed entirely broken, as new batteries, system restarts, and repositioning didn't fix it. The TV remote was nearly dead, and its charger appeared to be missing, so we connected our own devices instead. With our personal devices connected, the TV and sound system were perfect.

  The biggest cleanliness issue was cobwebs. The downstairs bedroom had enough that I ultimately chose not to use it, and we also noticed webs in the bathroom, around the chandelier, inside the sauna, and elsewhere. This is a mountain property surrounded by woods, so some spiders are expected, but a few areas seemed overdue for a more thorough cleaning.

  One other consideration is road noise. Weekend traffic was minimal, but on weekdays there were frequent construction/heavy vehicles on the road, and the nearby highway is audible in the distance. It wasn't especially loud or disruptive, but anyone seeking complete backcountry silence should be aware of it.

  Overall, the house has a lot going for it: beautiful surroundings, a fantastic private balcony, an unusually well-equipped kitchen, comfortable common areas, and amenities we genuinely enjoyed. With some attention to minor maintenance and deeper cleaning in a few areas, it could be an exceptional rental.

• Wedding at Silverthorne

  Eagles Roost was the perfect place to stay while visiting Silverthorne for my nieces wedding!

• A great place to gather

  My siblings and I experienced a great loss this year, so we wanted to get away. We did just that at the Eagles Roost. We cooked meals in the fully stocked kitchen, played endless hours of pool and foosball, and when we were bothered by the dry air, we relaxed in the sauna and hot tub. The house is perfectly located to many ski options and restaurants. There's so much to do in and around Silverthorne or stay in!
