We stayed at this condo for a week while we skied in Colorado. The place itself is really nice, large, and well equipped. The location is phenomenal with Blue Bird food hall steps away.
The problem with this place is the management. Upon arriving, we tried to enter the condo using the instructions provided to us prior to our arrival only to find that our door code did not work. I called the property manager. No answer, so we tried the keypad a couple more times, resulting in the lock timing out and locking us out. I called again and was able to reach someone who told us the code that was provided was not the correct entry code and instead was this completely other code that wasn’t even close to what was provided. On a similar note, the wifi information provided was also incorrect and I had to inquire about that and was finally given the correct information. Not that big of a deal, but the lack of communication about the door code and wifi was a bit frustrating.
Next, there is a Blackstone advertised for the place, so we planned to make burgers. Upon inspection of the Blackstone, it was completely disgusting, rusted, and unusable. Luckily (or so we thought), the kitchen stove had a griddle insert with a bridge burner that we could utilize instead. Unfortunately, the bridge burner only lit about 20% of the burner and then leaked noxious gas into the kitchen. Not only did this make that part of the stove unusable, but it’s a major safety concern.
Finally, we were informed that the ground level shower had been broken by previous guests, and we were directed not to use it. We were ensured that the part was ordered and it would be fixed the next day. Well, “the next day” turned into 2-3 days, which turned into it not being fixed the entire time we were there. Our guest on the ground level had to walk up 2 stories of stairs to take a shower the entire week we were there. I reached out to management about it, asking for compensation. We agreed upon a $100 refund. That refund never came and each time I reached out, I was told it was in process. I then reached out about it a week later and was told they were upping it to $200 because of all the inconveniences. That message came with a caveat that they rely on reviews and to leave the place a good review. Felt like a bribe and ended up being a hollow offer anyway as I never received any compensation and they have since gone radio silent. I recommend the owner find a new managing company or expect more bad reviews.
Great room with a private rooftop hot tub. The location was great. We walked to the nearby market for Ice cream and arcade many times. We love Silverthorne and have been staying in hotels for a decade. Having the condo with a washer and dryer in a prime location was a game-changer. The table top shuffleboard and PacMan were great entertainment for our family, too. We will be booking again next year.
Great stay at a fully equipped property. The kitchen was really well stocked and it was easy to cook a full meal for me and the other guests. The rooftop hot tub has great views. Access to the listing was a concern. The keyless entry was tough to use and the code didn’t work. The TV in the main living room worked the first night but would not connect to wifi during the rest of the stay.
property was very nice and perfect for our group of 5. we were within walking distance of The Mine and Bluebird market - great options for after skiing. also very close to grocery store and other Silverthorne restaurants. we skied at Breckenridge, Vail and Beaver Creek, which were easy to get to from the place. definitely recommend!
