The BEST stay in 20+ years
5/5 My family and I have been coming to Colorado for 20+ years. We stayed in the same Cabin for 10+ years until we outgrew it. That Cabin is literally three doors down from this one. We loved the area so very much. So I am so happy that we found this house. This house was actually perfect for our family of 13 each family was able to basically have a floor to themselves. The main floor was perfect for our nightly dinners and canasta games. We loved feeding the very hungry hummingbirds every day. We made several trips up to see our friends at Saint Elmo General store and to feed the chipmunks. We also spent time jeeping up to the Pomroy and fishing there. We also fished the Hancock and the Arkansas river. The outdoor area of this house is fabulous. It was a great place for the children to run play and explore. We also were able to finally see a bear. There is a black bear who enjoys knocking over the trash cans every night.
We come to Colorado every single year for two weeks the entire family. Lord willing, and if I can afford it next year, we will definitely be back to this house. That is how much we loved it.

5/5 We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The weather was beautiful even though snow was severely lacking at Monarch. Our family appreciated the spaciousness and layout of the home.

5/5 Our family of 11 enjoyed our Thanksgiving at the house and there was plenty of room for everyone to have their own space. The kids lived in the basement playing pool and other games during our stay. The fire pit by the river was a highlight of the trip and the back yard space made a great backdrop for family pictures. The host was very responsive and attentive to all of our needs. The kitchen was fully stocked for us to make our Thanksgiving meal and the overall atmosphere of the house was very homie feeling. I would call out that there is no tv in the living room area and though I didn’t mind it, my family who wanted to watch the parade and football who couldn’t take the stairs downstairs would have appreciate one. Overall great stay and would highly recommend.

5/5 House worked well for our extended family visit with plenty of space for everyone! Beautiful setting with great views! Spent lots of time enjoying the outdoor space -deck, firepit area and the creek!
