From the Owner: "Catrina, thanks for your positive review. We are so glad you enjoyed our home. We hope that you come back and visit us soon. Happy holidays."
We had a great time and the management was very accommodating. The area had a power outage due to the storm and phone lines were a challenge. The management ensured we were taken care of through the situation. The creek in the back of the cabin is serene and the wildlife viewing from the cabin was a plus!

From the Owner: "Diana, thanks for your positive review. We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay. The house is a very peaceful place, and the wildlife in the area is an added plus for us, as well. We were more than happy to work with you during the power outage (luckily, a rare occurrence). We hope you will visit us again soon."
The positives - the owner is incredibly nice and accommodating of the mistakes (see below). And the property manager is outstanding. The little creek in the back is pleasant.
Unfortunately, it was (is?) incorrectly listed as having a king and queen. However, the biggest bed is a queen, the next is a full and there are two twins. We would not have booked it had we known it had smaller beds. We were given a portion of our rental fee back for the misleading listing AND thanks to the kindness of the owner.
If you’re looking for a 60’s/70’s cabin without updates, this is your place. The online pics had to have been taken with floodlights…inside it’s very dark downstairs. First floor bath is tiny.
FYI, if you have children or don’t like evil stuff, there are lots of books about ghosts, murders, horror movies and a framed print with a bloodied scene in one of the bedrooms. So be aware of the darkness therein.

Hi John, we’re sorry to hear that the listing didn’t meet your expectations, and after sending your feedback to the homeowner, they’d like to share the following:
- We apologize for the confusion regarding the bed sizes in the listing. We delivered a king-size air mattress to accommodate your needs and issued a partial refund to address the inconvenience.
- The home is a classic 60s/70s cabin, which many guests appreciate for its retro charm. However, we understand that the aesthetic and lighting may not be ideal for everyone.
- The books and artwork in the home reflect a diverse collection, and we apologize if they were unsettling. We’ll review these items to ensure they align with a broader range of guest preferences.
Thank you again for your feedback
The creek by far is the best asset for the property.
Needs cleaning supplies dish cloths, needs a way to get rid of trash, had to take trash home as to not attract bears. Master bed needs a low profile box spring but was comfortable once you got in. Ceiling fan in master needs dusted. Need wash cloths in showers. The grill was nice need a grill brush to clean it when finished using it. Rustic but that’s ok.

Owner’s Response: “Hi Robert, thank you for staying with us. There are dish towels in the kitchen drawers, and each bathroom is supplied with a complete array of linen, including wash cloths. We will add a steel brush for the outside grill and we always work with guests to provide trash removal. We will also look into supplying a step stool for the upstairs bed, however, it is a custom-built queen bed with a custom mattress and box spring that is very comfortable. We truly go above and beyond for our guests and are confident that future guests will have a wonderful stay!”
we stayed on this property in July 2023. We had two couples and one individual. This property was cramped and not clean, and also very dark downstairs. The beds t
downstairs were very uncomfortable. Bathroom downstairs very small. The cook wear was very old. I actually found mouse droppings in the crockpot that I was hoping to use. Mouse traps several places. Towels very old and raggedy. The upstairs was roomy, comfy bed, but had issues with the toilet flushing and no towels supplied up there. Outside had a area with a table and chairs that was very dirty. Grill very cheap and should be thrown away! I absolutely would not recommend this property!! I have never written a review, but felt this was necessary.

Hi Todd, thanks for letting us know about your stay. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they would like to share the following:
-"We take great care to ensure that the property and house are meticulously cleaned before every guest's stay. You'll find the curtains are typically drawn, but they can be easily opened to welcome the warm sunlight into the downstairs areas.
-All the spaces throughout the cabin are accurately depicted in the photos on the Evolve website, so it's a bit surprising that the guest wasn't fully aware of the inviting living space downstairs.
-As for the downstairs beds, they're equipped with brand new bedding and toppers, and the double bed boasts a fresh mattress for a comfortable night's sleep.
-The downstairs bathroom may be a tad smaller, but it's impeccably clean, highly functional, and well-lit, just as you can see in the Evolve pictures.
-We've stocked the kitchen with a combination of new and well-maintained cookware for our guests to choose from, and we maintain the cleanliness of all cookware, including the crock pot, so you won't encounter any unexpected surprises.
-Rest assured, we always provide towels in both the downstairs and upstairs bathrooms. We'll also be making an improvement by replacing the upstairs toilet to ensure a smoother flushing experience.
-Before your arrival, all the outdoor furniture, including tables and chairs, is given a thorough cleaning to create a welcoming outdoor space for your enjoyment. And while the grill is on the smaller side to fit the back deck, it's perfectly functional and ready for your use.
We hope this information proves helpful, and that these explanations provide some clarity. Please know that it is our sincere desire to provide a welcoming and enjoyable experience for our guests."
