• Amazing Mountain Getaway

  We truly enjoyed our stay. The home is wonderful and spacious. The backyard is a peaceful and private area with the river running around cabin. Husband had fun catching trout from the river. We have stayed in several Cuchara rentals and this one definitely at the top of our list!

• Disappointing

  Enjoyed the layout of the home. Really enjoyed the kitchen. Loved the river running around the property. The water was so relaxing! Beds were very comfortable. We had no problem staying comfortable with the temps there. Heating worked well for us. We did not use the fireplace, but the area was dirty and looked liked the last people didn't clean it out. Issues: desperately needs a deep deep cleaning and an inventory done on restocking item (especially the kitchen). Carpets, floors, windows, some furniture, oven, refrigerator (especially freezer) and fireplace are dirty and some areas were pretty nasty. We had to wash the dishes before we could use them. The book they leave you on the table about the house really needs to be updated and more things explained about how to operate different items in the house: light switches & remotes, ice maker (we never could get it to work), where to put the trash when we checked out, there are two keys in this book, but we didn’t know what the were for, were we suppose to use them or not? If they have someone taking care of this home for them, they need to find someone else. Reached out to the owner twice via the website, but never received a response. After renting the property we were given a contact. This contact was very helpful and quickly responded to any questions we had. It would be a pretty nice place if these issued were addressed.

• Another Wonderful Stay

  This makes the third time we have stayed here since last August…and we already have a month long stay booked for this Fall. We’ve fallen in love with this property and it never disappoints. The scenery is beautiful, the cabin is fantastic, and Ray (the owner) is incredibly responsive and helpful. Definitely our favorite place to stay and well worth the trip from Texas!
