Serene, Spacious, and Stunning Views!
5/5 My family had the best long weekend at this cabin. There were so many cozy, quiet areas for each of us to find a personal activity and unwind. The house is abundantly stocked with all necessary kitchen items, books, games, and toys. We loved the chess and pool tables. Our favorite was hands down the surrounding views of the mountains, nearly 360 degree. Comfortable beds, thoughtful extras, dog-friendly, and super clean. We can’t wait to return!

Thanksgiving getaway
5/5 We had a great time at Bear Crossing. It’s definitely off the beaten path in a beautiful setting. So much to explore in the area. We were treated to 6” of fresh snow and found great snowshoeing trails.

An excellent mountain escape
5/5 This place was fantastic with views from three sides of forest and mountains (be sure to take the short walk behind the home for a view to the valley below). The house was thoughtfully stocked, clean, and had everything you would expect and more.
The owners were excellent communicators before, during, and after our stay. For example, in addition to thorough printerd information about the home, area, and things to do, there were helpful hand written notes and labels throughout the home that saved you from frequently searching the same cupboard or flipping the wrong switch.
The deck around three sides of the home means there’s always something to see day or night.
We had our pups with us this trip and there were some pet-friendly items on hand but none as helpful as the portable gating which allowed our dogs to enjoy the deck free from a leash or escape concerns.
This is a fantastic home with great views, plenty of space, and fresh air. Come and enjoy!
Absolute hidden gem!
5/5 The whole experience, from when I booked to before my stay was wonderful. I had everything I needed to arrive. The hosts emailed me a detailed welcome book that was very helpful.
We arrived and immediately we could tell that the trip was going to be great. The house was immaculately clean and well-stocked. There was coffee and cocoa and all the little extras you need for cooking. The deck gave an excellent opportunity to enjoy the outdoors and stargaze at night as well as a great place to enjoy your morning coffee.
There is no lack of space to spread out here as well. The beds were very comfortable and having a soaking tub in the master bedroom was just what I needed to relax.
With this home being so close to nearby attractions in Fairplay, Brek, Tarryall Reservoir and Buena Vista, but far enough away that you feel like you are in your own private sanctuary - it's the perfect place to steal away a weekend or more to relax, recharge and enjoy all life has to offer... or just watch the stars, listen to the wind blow and enjoy the atmosphere nature has to offer!

5/5 This is exactly we all were looking for in a Colorado getaway! Communication with owners was great. The "cabin" was amazing and we all could not believe the view! We plan on booking again!!!!!
