Beautiful views with the fall leaves changing colors. The sunset from the hot tub was so picturesque and relaxing. The bar area with the full opening glass wall onto the deck was an amazing place to sit and enjoy a glass of wine and look at the amazing fall leaves. My wife and I love it so much we are already planning our next visit.
This home was gorgeous. Very modern appliances and a perfect location for rejuvenating after a long day or two, or three of golf. The spa shower in the master bath was amazing as well as the view off the bar balcony of the Grand Elk golf course. The beds were so comfy & the amenities were well stocked. Would love to go back
To be fair in my review, I'll split it into two (2) parts
PART #1 - The home is truly five-star and every bit as splendid as depicted in the pictures. I wholeheartedly recommend this house and would likely stay here again, despite the other aspects of my review. The bar area, which seamlessly extends onto the deck with its curtain wall of doors that open up, is fantastic and an absolutely wonderful spot for enjoying a cocktail while watching the sunset. The views from the kitchen, dining room, and family room overlooking the golf course to the south are stunning. The home is very well appointed and has everything you need to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable.
PART #2 - The preparation for my arrival between guests was not as hoped for, but it boils down to three (3) issues. In the upstairs half bath, the toilet seat lid was broken off and placed on the toilet as if still attached upon arrival. This same bathroom lacked linens upon my arrival, so I had to get some from a downstairs bathroom. These are minor issues, and when I informed the Property Management group about the toilet seat, they were responsive. They offered to fix it during my stay, but I opted to wait until after I left.
The most disappointing part of the preparation between stays was the condition of the hot tub upon my arrival on Sunday. One of the main reasons I chose this place was for the hot tub, but it was unusable when I got there. The water was green and smelled like algae, and I immediately notified the management company. Initially, they claimed it had been checked between guests and was fine when they inspected it the day before my arrival. Given its bad smell and appearance, I found this hard to believe. They did send a maintenance person over who was very nice but said she had concerns about the water also and recommend a spa company come look at it.
They then contacted a local spa company, which arrived around 3:00 PM on Monday. The technician confirmed the water was in poor condition and expressed doubts that it had been acceptable just 24 hours earlier. Instead of using harsh chemicals to shock it, he opted to drain and refill the hot tub. Everything was resolved after that. However, by 10:00 PM the night before my scheduled departure, the hot tub still hadn't heated up enough for me to use it that evening. During my two-night stay, the hot tub was unusable, and I did not receive any follow-up from Evolve before my departure. This was very disappointing.
Hi Brian, thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We genuinely appreciate your feedback, and the homeowner would like to share the following:
-The toilet seat was broken by previous guests, and although we aim to replace it promptly between stays, the short turnaround time prevented us from completing the repair within the expected window. Please note that this was in the powder bath, not one of the main bathrooms.
-Our cleaners inspect the hot tub after every guest, but we are refining our procedures as we transition with Evolve. We apologize for any inconvenience caused. Upon notification, we promptly contacted the local spa service, Spa Man, who serviced the tub as soon as they were available. The tub required draining and refilling, which caused a delay in its availability as it needed time to reheat.
-We hope this explanation clarifies the situation. Ensuring our guests' comfort and satisfaction is our priority, and we regret any inconvenience you experience.
Thank you for taking the time to share your review and hope for the opportunity to host you again in the future.
