This is my second stay at this two bedroom two bath home. It takes 15 minutes to drive up to it from the highway into Granby and is probably close to 9,000 feet but it is quiet and secluded. One evening I saw a pair of foxes in the yard. The best views are from the deck looking east and south towards Tabernash. The basement which is ground level has a shuffleboard table and is a room that I did not use. The main level has the kitchen, living area, a bedroom and a bathroom. The bedroom has no curtains so it can be a challenge to nap mid day. The bath is a tub/shower. The upper level has a king bed and shower. That bedroom has shades. There is a propane grill on the deck that is useful for grilling. Plenty of propane and it was clean. This is a good spot to get away to read or work, and if you enjoy steep hikes, to hike the gravel road going down the mountain.

Had a fantastic stay at this lovely property. View is phenomenal whether sunny or cloudy. Have never seen a cabin-style home with more beautiful interior/exterior detail. And very comfortable furniture inside handcrafted by owner. Beds all have very nice mattresses and bedding. Surrounded by aspen and wildlife including a red fox who seems to be a regular visitor.
Convenient to Lake Granby and Grand Lake, also to Winter Park to the south. On a gravel road that is narrow and windy near the top so AWD a must for access. There's a large, full-service supermarket where the access road meets the main highway, about a ten-minute drive down from the house.
Highly recommended.

Great place, comfortable, well equipped and beautiful scenery.
I was looking for a secluded property with a nice view to be able to celebrate our wedding anniversary. This place did the trick. We were there in late May, just at the end of the rainy/muddy season. Before the trip we were emailed instructions on how to locate the property. We did take a wrong turn the first time getting there, but that was my fault for misreading the directions. Once we made it safely the first time, though, travel to and from the house was a breeze. I would advise that it was a little muddy and our AWD car made it up the mountain, but that time of year you may want to be safe and take 4WD with you. Also, the road up is very narrow and steep, so drive slowly and safely.
Once we got to the cabin, we were pleasantly surprised by the feel. It is a little smaller than pictures make it seem. Despite that quaintness, it is roomy and comfortable. There is plenty of room to easily sleep 8 people and you can navigate the entire house without stepping on top of each other. We loved the rustic log cabin decor, but also got to take advantage of the modern amenities like the full kitchen, satellite tv, and streaming services. The house is well equipped with cooking equipment, spices, blankets, towels, and all the other basic necessities.
The view was amazing. We spent a large amount of time on the deck taking in the sights and talking, and spent our fair share of time in the hot tub that overlooks the valley. The Continental Divide is clearly visible from the deck (and hot tub) and the environment as a whole is so peaceful. The surrounding property is on the side of a mountain, making exploration a little tougher, but the totality of the location is awesome. We had no problem running into the full grocery store by the entrance, grabbing supplies, then just spending a couple days in seclusion.
We did spend one day outside of the cabin, and drove up to Grand Lake to enjoy hiking, lunch/ice cream, and shopping. While this was a great way to break up the trip and it was VERY easy to drive back and forth, the best time we spent was enjoying the privacy and seclusion of the property. It really is a hidden gem and is ideal for anyone wanting to spend a few days or weeks in peace and quiet, escaping the responsibilities of real life. As my wife put it, it's the best lodging we've ever had for an anniversary trip. My one regret is that I didn't book it for a longer stay, because 3 nights simply was not enough. Well done Cox family!!!!
