Upon arrival, it looked clean, but it was very apparent that things were not kept up very well like the stove and kitchen supplies. Everything in the house seems to be an antique and secondhand (which is charming don’t get me wrong) including maybe a couch and chairs and a rug that were really dirty/stained/shabby where you wanted to put a blanket on them before sitting on them. The kitchen chairs also were stained and dirty and one seat wasn’t attached to the frame and my 4 year old fell through. Not a huge deal but I think for the price I anticipated it being a little bit better kept. However, it is what the description says a very rustic house on top of a mountain. I think the rustic nature made a musty smell in the house that stayed with you throughout the day and my family can “rough it” but it was almost nauseating at first. Maybe in the summer with the windows open it’s better. There was a beeping when we arrived but the host was quick to respond. She actually had to come over a second time because the Wi-Fi wasn’t working. However, she helped very quickly and fixed it. The host was great. The views were spectacular. There was heat and water and really overall had OK stay.
