  We loved our winter stay at this adorable condo in Cascade Village. The condo itself was so cozy, tastefully designed, and had everything we needed (and more) for our stay. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook meals - plus tea, coffee, spices, etc. We used the desk and monitor for a few work calls, and the wifi was very fast. The location was perfect, and so close to Purgatory ski resort (but just far enough away from the crowds). We used the free ski shuttle which dropped off and picked up right at the resort base. The views of the San Juans were beautiful. There is also a cross country ski center and snowshoe trails across the road. The hot tub and sauna were wonderful after a long day on the slopes. We will definitely be back!

  The condo was ideal for two adults and two children - it was spacious, very clean and equipped with everything we required. The wifi was fast and the Roku was a plus. The location is unbeatable - it's situated on the Million Dollar Highway, halfway between Durango and Silverton, just north of Purgatory Resort. We enjoyed mountain biking at the resort and exploring the Colorado Trail and Cascade Creek Trail. The landscapes and wildflowers were absolutely stunning. Soaking in the hot tub at the end of the day and taking in the night sky was incredible. We just wish we could have stayed longer - there's so much to explore in this beautiful place!

  The good:

  The place itself was nice. Comfy bed. The condo was pretty quiet which was a huge plus.

  The bad:

  The listing is inaccurate, as there was no toaster oven, no central heat. The baseboards didn't do much for heat, so burning a near constant fire was the trick.

  I was extremely disappointed the wood wasn't stocked with a first load upon arrival, and no paper or kindling.

  The hot water couldn't even fill up half the huge bathtub. Thankfully the maintenance guy did turn up the temp and that helped.

  The "Smart TV" was not logged into any accounts, and when I tried to add an app to the Roku, it kept saying error. So the TV was non-functional. The listing said ground floor unit but with the parking garage below there was actually a set of stairs to climb up.

  They requested dishes to be cleaned and put away, in addition to trash being taken out (but left no instructions as to where to take it) etc. I felt annoyed by this, as I'm obviously paying to stay in a "hotel" like spot so I don't have to do the cleaning.

  I would likely not stay here again. The fire was the best part.

  Thanks for your review - we chatted while you were staying with us, and were able to resolve many of these items for you, like sending in our maintenance person after hours to adjust the water heater temperature for you. We weren't aware of the heat issue, but in addition to the adjustable heat throughout the condo, we do also have 2 space heaters in the closet for guests to use.
  
  Unfortunately, we can't leave our personal Roku login for privacy issues, but we do have the Roku login instructions in our guest book! There are also instructions for trash removal in the book, and dumpsters located at the end of each building outside. We are sorry that your stay wasn't up to expectations, we will make all attempts to make this information more readily available for future guests."
