We had a great time! Especially nice for family gatherings. There’s space for visiting with family and friends, as well as for quiet time alone. There is nothing you will need. The hostess was great.
The Willow Creek house was an absolute dream. We had a wonderful week, with hot summer weather. The pool was a welcome relief from the heat, but there is also the Trinity River close by to cool off. The view from the house is fabulous. We hope to be back next year! Thank you for offering such a wonderful retreat.
My family and I had a great time at this Willow Creek getaway.
Our kids loved the pool and the surplus of pool toys. The pool is fully enclosed by a separate gate for safety. Unfortunately we had several days of smoke due to a nearby fire, however there were many games, puzzles, and movies to keep us entertained. We loved listening to the record player in the evenings. A lot of the house has its original 1970s decor which is still in good condition and show how much the owners care about maintaining their home. There are also several mature fruit trees on the property. The caretaker and property owner were very pleasant and eager to ensure our stay was comfortable and quick to fix any issues that arose. One should note there is only air-conditioning in the central room which overall keeps the home comfortable. No AC in the bedrooms which was challenging with a new baby when temps outside rose over 100 degrees. Fans were available. Electric kitchen stove took a long time to boil water if you are used to using gas. Kids and adults loved the Belgian waffle maker and the outside deck provided a scenic and relaxing place for family games. Overall would definitely stay here again. Home is close to town, has nearby river access, and close enough to Eureka/coast for a day trip.
