  • Amazing space, gorgeous location.

    5/5

The space was great, just my wife and I so the master bedroom was perfect. The hot tub was exactly what we needed on those crisp fall evenings, the are has lots of offerings from coffee, breakfast, etc. The hiking nearby was great as well, great for a family or couple looking for a mountain getaway. Some of the things mentioned previously about the checkout rules, do seem heavy handed, but I can understand not wanting things left in a shambles before the cleaning team comes by. The last people that stayed left used knives in the block, crusted with food, didn’t clean them before putting them away 🙄

Some damaged darts made the board not quite usable, but again, it’s from others not respecting the property.

Overall, I would stay here again.

  • Fully equipped beautiful home with a serene backyard view

    5/5

This is a very cozy cabin with nice views of the forest ahead in front you with a slightly unusual layout of the kitchen/living room area. I know that with a lot of cabins the layouts can only let you do so much, so they did a great job working with the limited living room space that goes into the kitchen. It was just the 2 of us so it worked well for us. The driveway is a little bit of a narrow slope right by the road. With sedan it would fit fine, but not too sure about larger vehicles that might stick out a little bit. We do enjoy cooking so we were glad the kitchen came stocked with the basic amenities, anything additional we purchased from the local market. It was really cool that we were able to see the TV from downstairs living room and the game room upstairs. We didn't miss a thing of the sporting event playing Live in TV. While we tried to enjoy playing pool in the game room the space was a little cramped and prevented you from playing freely, but we made it work. We took full advantage of the hot tub, enjoyed it both during the day and evening and I must say it was our favorite part. The beds were very comfortable with fluffy and comfy pillows. The comforters were so easy to sleep on as well. The bathrooms were very clean with plenty of towels and shower amenities for a whole group. Overall the cabin is clean and provides a really nice and cozy atmosphere. We definitely would love to come back again. The owner was very responsive to any of our questions and was super kind to provide us a late check out on our last day. For that we truly appreciate you Armen, can't wait to visit soon.

  • Things not mentioned

    3/5

House was clean and nice. There was a few items not mentioned in listing.-The 2 space parking is barely one-The locals park on both sides of an already narrow road and are not happy to give the right of way.-No AC-Only 2 rolls of toilet paper and 2 garbage bags for 7 people over 5 days.-scheduled AEP power outage from 10:30PM until 7AM the next day on one of the 5 day stay.-list of fines she will give if the check out list isn't completed line by line.

    Manager's Response:

Hi Channy, thanks for letting us know about your stay. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they would like to share the following:
-"While our listing specifies accommodation for two cars, it does not encompass larger vehicles such as trucks with trailers.
-The provision of rolls of toilet paper, paper towels, and two large garbage bags is typically considered more than sufficient for a group of seven people over a five-day stay. Guests may need to replenish these supplies as per their individual needs, as it's challenging for us to anticipate each guest's specific requirements. Additional supplies can easily be acquired from the numerous stores in the vicinity.
-Regrettably, power outages are known to occur in mountainous regions, and it is indeed beyond the control of homeowners. Such occurrences are typically managed by the power company responsible for the area.
Our commitment to all our guests is to make the best possible stay, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests as evidenced in all other reviews."

  • You get what you pay for

    3/5

If you have low expectations and do not need to interact with the host/owner then it’s fine. Otherwise read below for the pros and cons.Pros-It’s affordable for the location; The hot tub, pool table, outdoor seating and BBQ are great amenities. The house is clean and safe. It’s in a quiet neighborhood. It's in a good location between Lake Arrowhead and Lake Gregory.Cons-The house is a LOT smaller than the pictures portray and can host at most 4 adults and 2-3 children; there are a lot of stairs so not wheelchair friendly. The host lacks basic customer service skills and communicates in a condescending and rude manner. Bring your own toilet paper, paper towels, foil, plastic wrap etc., Basically pretend you’re going camping since you’ll need a lot of your own supplies that the host will not provide you. Host had initially agreed to a later check out but then texted me stating that he was "going to honor our agreement however his family would pay the price of enjoying the house 1 hour less” which felt very manipulative. Again if you have low to no expectations, are not going to communicate with the host and are comfortable bringing all your goods, then this place is fine. However, you get what you pay for so keep that in mind before booking.

    Manager's Response:

Hi Pantea, we are happy to hear that you all enjoyed the amenities! The homeowners were surprised to read your review, as they are accustomed to providing five-star experiences, and would like to clarify the following:
    - As is standard for all vacation rentals, the homeowner provides a starter supply of paper essentials for guests’ convenience. Guests may have to purchase their additional supplies, especially for longer stays or larger groups.
    - To get you started, we did provide four toilet paper rolls and two paper towels for your three-night stay. The home was also stocked with bath towels and hand towels for your entire group and there is a washer and dryer with laundry detergent if guests want to do laundry.
    - We use local, professional photographers to make sure that the listing photos correctly reflect the property, so the features you see on the listing are accurately advertised.
    - That being said, the home is not advertised as being handicapped-accessible. The size of the home is also accurately shared in the listing so guests can decide before booking if the vacation home meets their expectations.
    - We're happy you enjoyed the amenities that this home offers, such as the relaxing hot tub, a fun pool table, and two patios with nice views, plus a BBQ!
We are glad to share that no issues were reported by the guests who stayed the following weekend. We do all we can to create the best possible stay, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests!

  • Beautiful home and view but...

    3/5

Beautiful home and view but it's 5800 feet above sea level. If you are afraid of long winding roads that over look at 1000 plus feet drops may want to prepare your self for that.

    Manager's Response:

Hi Channy, we truly appreciate your recent review, sharing your thoughts on your stay. We've passed on your comments to the homeowner, who wanted to address the following:
    - Thank you for choosing to stay in our Twin Peaks, California home and leaving a review, as guest feedback is vitally important to us and the success of our vacation rental business.
    - We're thrilled you enjoyed our beautiful home and its breathtaking view. We understand that the high elevation and winding roads may have been a surprise. To help future guests, we provide a map on our listing to show the approximate location. We're sorry if this wasn't clear during your booking, but it's always suggested that guests research the area prior to reserving a property.

We do all we can to make the best possible stay, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests.
