Marvelous Home, Amazing Views and Relaxing Stay
5/5 This is our second stay at this gorgeous home overlooking Donner Lake. The home is situated minutes from Truckee where there are wonderful restaurants, groceries stores and fun shopping. The 'Great Room' is huge with panoramic views of Donner Lake and the mountains. The Primary Suite is also huge with the same views. LOVE the kitchen - the kitchen of my dreams with granite countertops, a big center island, every type of appliance you could wish for, lots of pots, pans, dishware, etc. Eat in or take out and enjoy the view. There are two gas burning fireplaces (upstairs and downstairs) that warm up the home incredibly well. It was in the 20's our whole stay. We were toasty warm. Need one of these! Nice to have a bathroom on the main floor that can be used by the second bedroom. The third bedroom is downstairs next to the Primary Suite. The home comes with a washer and dryer. Paul is a fantastic host! He is responsive, friendly and welcoming. We'll be back next winter!

Great place, great view
5/5 We really enjoyed our stay, it’s very close to town and overlooks Donner. My only negative is the e pillows on the bed are not very comfortable, so bring your own if you can.

Don’t plan on getting sleep
3/5 The house was nice enough, clean and nice view of Donner Lake. However, the noise from the freeway was extremely loud and prevented sleep. During the day it wasn’t so noticeable given ambient noise from tv etc but once retiring for the evening, it was almost impossible to get to sleep.
