• Filthy property

  The property was absolutely filthy! Cleanliness should be a must considering the COVID situation. The countertops were dirty. The stove top and knobs were greasy! The fridge was dirty and had left over food from the previous guests. We literally had to clean out the fridge, stove top and countertops ourselves. The floor was also dirty with sticky stuff. The walls were also filthy! There was garbage left out on the porch. Crayons, garbage and a year worth of dust could be seen under the couches and beds. Not no mention, Christmas decor in the middle of August! Very tacky! Towels and sheets were left in the drier. Washer does not work! We left the house cleaner than we found it. A cleaning fee should not be required if guests are going to walk into a filthy house! Very disappointed! Would not recommend or stay at this property ever again!

This homeowner has asked us to pass along the following response: "We are at a loss in understanding this review as we would never leave unaddressed any problem our guests honestly encountered. Had it been communicated to us in the slightest by a guest in residence that someone screwed up this badly, creating this sort of dissatisfaction we would have certainly not only refunded the cleaning costs but would have had the house recleaned and re-sanitized to the guest’s satisfaction. A full refund would not have been out of the question. But we can assure you that our housekeeper did a thorough cleaning of the property before the stay and that they would never have left a dirty stove, countertops, or leftovers in a dirty refrigerator. We also followed up to make sure there was no chance that the cleaners missed garbage on the porch, or dust bunnies under the bed, and double-checked that the washer works properly (it does) and the walls are pristine white as pictured."

• Spacious and close to everything

  Plenty of space and we had a great time on our family weekend. The service was great from Seamus (the property manager) when we had a small issue and had an overall pleasant experience.

• Nice & cozy home close to the lake

  Nice place to explore Lake Tahoe area. House has everything we needed. Even a mixer and Nespresso coffee maker. It's close to lake and hiking trails. Only thing we didn't like this much was all the traffic noise you have even during nights. (But if you're out all day you'll have a good night sleep...)

• Great cabin in the woods!

  We had a wonderful visit! There are two large master suites with restrooms, a twin bed in a cubby upstairs, pull out couch and lots of living space downstairs. This cabin is great for a group! It?s location is close to heavenly village, the marina, and anything you?d need. It is well stocked with pots, pans, and dish ware. We had everything we needed for a great weekend!
