A hidden little gem!
5/5 My husband and I just celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary at a hidden little gem/piece of heaven. Who would have thought that Shingle Springs would offer a romantic getaway so close to home. Our hosts met us when we got there and explained how everything worked and made us feel very welcome. The pool and hot tub were amazing. There's even a slide into the pool. We played cards at the nice table on the patio, layed out and floated in the pool. It was so relaxing and much needed. We invited our hosts up for a cocktail and they surprised us by giving us a nice bottle of red wine and appetizers for our anniversary. We had a very nice visit with them and their dog Repo. It was so comfortable it felt like we had known them for a long time. You really wouldn't know they're on the property because we didn't see them again until we were leaving. The studio was spotless and well organized and even had a little basket of snacks and chocolates on our pillows. Toiletries in the bathroom and even offer slippers for when you get out of the hot tub or shower. You can tell a lot of thought, heart and soul went into the planning of this retreat. We never even turned on the TV. We just unplugged from the routine of daily life and spent quality time together. I believe it was our best anniversary so far. We will definitely go back, but we won't wait until our next anniversary. I will be recommending this place to everyone I know. The only downfall or complaint we had was that we couldn't stay longer. Thank you so much to our amazing and very thoughtful hosts.
