  The host was very quick to respond to my communications. There were a couple small things missing or broken, which the host attended to. Great house with three bathrooms and in a wonderful location very close to Mission Beach. Be aware that the parking spot is very small and did not fit my midsize SUV.

  Positive things about this property: 1. Location obviously - it's just steps away from the beach. 2. Accommodates a small pet. 3. Good size house, plenty of beds and bathrooms for 6-7 people. 4. Appliances all worked good. Things not so great: 1. Cleanliness was barely passable. You could tell someone had barely wiped surfaces and changed bedding, however, that was it. Creeping mildew in the showers, pantry crammed with all kinds of stuff and when I moved the coffee pot on the floor, there was tons of hair (pet and otherwise) and dirt/debris. Drawers and cupboards in bathroom had hair and dirt from others. Basically, there was a surface clean but nothing more. I was surprised as I paid substantially more for this than any others in the 10 years I have been coming to Mission Beach. Wifi worked as long as you were downstairs. There was only one small bath towel allotted per person. There were technically 4 beach chairs available, although one was broken, one sat up higher than the other two traditional beach chairs. If the property accommodates 6-7 people, there should be enough chairs for everyone. The description of property discusses the parking and people should take note of this. We had an Explorer and we barely fit. We had to back in with someone guiding every time, and then the driver had to squeeze out through the top of the door. We still had a fabulous time at the beach and got used to the (lack of clean) accommodations.

  - They’re working closely with their cleaning team to ensure a more thorough job is done between stays, especially in overlooked areas like drawers, under appliances, and showers.
  - The WiFi signal can be weaker upstairs, depending on the device and placement, and the owner is exploring options to boost coverage throughout the home.
  - The owner is reviewing the linen inventory to ensure guests have an adequate number of towels. They also plan to replace the broken beach chair and are considering additional seating to better accommodate group size.

  The location of this unit, north of Mission Bay Dr is great. You are just a short walk south to Belmont Park and a short walk to several good eating spots northern side of Mission Blvd before getting into Pacific Beach.

  You hear some airplane noise at this place, but what part of Mission Beach doesn't hear airplane noise?

  As some reviews have mentioned, the parking for the downstairs unit is unbelievably small. I was able to maneuver my Sienna Minivan into the spot, but it would take a couple minutes each time to wiggle into the spot. And, once into the spot, I would have to crawl out through the back to van in order to get out of the car as the doors had no room to open. On the bright side, this hassle was better than trying to find street parking at night.

  The patio for the downstairs unit was great and spent several mornings enjoying coffee there. The beds were comfy. The bath towels were not plush or large, but adequate. The fire pit was out of order when we were there, which was a bummer. The people upstairs were polite and we hardly heard them. We even noticed they had a young child, so either they were light on their feet or the floor between the units has great insulation. Also, having three bedrooms and three bathrooms for a family of five was super nice.
