  Ok - no cable tv and couldn’t figure out the Roku. Only a half size refrigerator- furniture only so so comfy. Better for short term rental.

• Disappointing lack of response. Not suited for long term stays

  We would probably rate this stay between fair to average. We were disappointed about the lack of response from the management company.

  It is the first time we have ever entered an apartment with a lockbox and NOT with being met by a representative to walk through the unit and personally hand over the keys. A very impersonal way of doing business.

  While we appreciated the comfortable bed and big screen tv, there were several items that were below par.

  For starters, frankly, the air intake filter was disgusting. We wrote the owner as well as the management company about the condition of the filter. All we received back was a note from the owner trying to imply that an air intake filter had nothing to do with the air we breathed. If our building management would see a filter like that in our Los Angeles unit, we would be cited. Either way, any air filter that looks like this, is not healthy for any environment.

  We also feel that there needs to be a much better description of the refrigerator/freezer in the listing. The impression is made that it is an under counter refrigerator. The fact that it turns out to be a fridge/freezer is a major inconvenience. The freezer shelf won't hold a frozen pizza and the refrigerator will hold 2 days of groceries at most. And the last thing one wants to do while on vacation in Palm Springs is having to run to a grocery store every other day. When at the pool 1 day, a previous tenant of this apartment introduced herself, and expressed her disappointment about the refrigerator being misrepresented in the description, so I know we are not alone on this issue.

  The “plush” sofa needs to be replaced as there is nothing “plush” about it. We ended up putting bed pillows down before sitting on it so we didn't have to feel the wooden slats that holds up the bottom cushion every time we sat down.

  The leather lounge chair is missing part of one leg causing it to be unstable and unusable. The only other chair in the living room is a black, high back chair with stung plastic for the back and seat. The chair is clearly meant for use out-of-doors. Essentially, this means there really isn't any safe and/or comfortable seating in the apartment.

  The overall appearance and feel of this apartment looks like a thrift store with the use of left over furniture. The same goes for the kitchen utensils available to cook with, thrift store finds, which leads me to mention the issue of ventilation in the kitchen. There is no ventilation in the kitchen, which most certainly needs to be addressed. With the stove/oven in the back of the kitchen, when cooking the steam and cooking smoke hovers over the stove in such a way that it fills the kitchen.

  After we “checked out” of the apartment, the rental agency emailed us asking for comments on our stay in the unit, which we submitted for their consideration. But again we heard nothing back—not even a thank you. We have rented apartments across Europe, Great Britain, and the U.S.A., which has afforded us considerable experience in holiday rentals. To say the least, this turned out to be a disappointing experience such that we forwarded our emails to the Palm Springs Vacation Rental Hotline. Needless to say, we will not be renting through this holiday rental agency again.

Additionally, they clarified to us that the filter for the air conditioner only filters the air before it goes up to the roof; it is not a filter for the air in the condo. Regarding the kitchen ventilation, the condo was built in this manner and, of course, the owners have no control over how it was built nor could they alter it. Lastly, they explained to us that the Palm Springs Vacation Rental Hotline has no jurisdiction over this condo. The homeowner does all they can to provide guests with the best possible stay, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests in the future! Best, the Evolve Team

  Apartment is a reasonable drive to downtown Palm Springs. Apartment is in a quite neighborhood and residence are polite and friendly.
